Btw! Someone commented on the a/n about not doing CordeliaxHadrian bc she is older than him. I should have made it clearer, but she is only 2 years older than him. Also, she called him young one because sirens are ancient. Sirens call all humans young ones because the human race is young compared to sirens.

It had been two days since Hadrian invited Cordelia to the manor. The Malfoys still didn't know about the woman, mainly due to the fact that they were all terrified of the boy.

Hadrian woke up, feeling a heavy weight on him. He looked down to see the girl laying on his chest. They started sleeping in the same bed last night.

The memory of last night came flooding back to Hadrian as he lay there.

His eyes opened as he heard sobbing. He looked over from the couch he was lying on to see the girl sobbing in the bed. "Hey, Cordelia? Are you alright?" He jumped from the couch to find her fast asleep. He quickly shook her awake, holding her wrists as she registered it was just him. She clung onto his shirt as she pulled him into the bed with her. He just held her. He didn't fall asleep until she did, quietly shushing her.

He gracefully slid out from under her, making sure not to wake the girl. He then proceeded to get ready for the day.

He took one last glance at the girl before leaving the room quietly.

Breakfast finished quickly and Hadrian went to the potions lab immediately. He had ordered a houself named Dobby to take up Cordelia's daily breakfast to her. Today would be the day that he finished the potion. He quickly walked in and looked at the timer he had set the day before yesterday. There was still an hour left until he had to remove the cauldron from the flame that it was brewing over.

Hadrian quickly made his way around the potions lab, grabbing multiple ingredients and setting them beside his cauldron. The potion was about to be done when a man walked into the room. At first Hadrian thought it to be one of the Malfoys, but when he turned around it was his potions professor.

"Professor Snape. What brings you to Malfoy Manor over the yule holidays?"

"I need to brew some potions for the medical wing. Lucius said I could use his lab as for it has more ingredients than my storage closet at Hogwarts." Snape walked over and peered at the potion. It was a bright pink at the moment. "And what might you be brewing?"

Hadrian looked at the man before setting down the potions journal he had been writing in. "Creatura Vetus sanationis."

"I have never heard of a potion by that name." Severus realized that the liquid was turning to an almost lilac color. "It looks almost like you are trying to brew the liquid luck potion."

Hadrian glanced at his timer and saw it had only a few seconds left. He walked over to the potion and turned off the flame as the timer rang. "I don't need Felix Felicis. No, this is a healing potion for a friend."

"You can't use a bazoar root? Have you learned nothing Riddle?" Hadrian took a deep breath at the disrespect he was being shown. "You forget my title, you forget my father's title, and you forget mine and my father's power over you." Severus paled at the realization. "Also, an ancient poison was used. Bezoar root will do nothing. I won't be surprised if this potion here did nothing."

Hadrian began to mince, dice, slice, cut, and chop multiple ingredients. He then began to crush a bezoar root. After adding in the right amount of each ingredient, he stirred three times clockwise and four counterclockwise. He repeated those two motions for seven minutes. He let the potion set for a half hour while he began chatting his progress in his journal.

"I don't know why you didn't return back to your family. I'm sure you would have been able to relish in the glory more than you would have here. The Malfoys are very busy people." Severus finally spoke up.

"You are aware of who my fake mother is, correct?" Severus just nodded his head. "Then you should know about her sister as well. Or, did that not occur to you?" Severus paled, realizing that he had been left with a muggle who hated magic. "Yes. They do despise magic. Every little thing I did was wrong. Hell, breathing was wrong! If I messed something up, showed any signs of magic, didn't act normal, or outshine my cousin." Hadrian stopped to let out a shaky chuckle. "I have scars from those 'decent' muggles. I'm no longer a virgin because of those monsters.

"They called me a freak. But they were the freaks. They were the ones who abused me for something I couldn't help. I didn't even know about magic until my eleventh birthday. I believed that my father was a drunk who got my mother killed in a car crash! I have wished to die many times because of my so called 'family. So, Severus. I don't care about being praised. I care about being shown love and respect. I care about having something that I am so unfamiliar to." Hadrian broke down into sobs as he fell to his knees. He was shaking as he felt a small, lithe body wrap their arms around him. He cried into the embrace.

"It's alright Hadrian. I shouldn't have said any of that or assumed any of what I did. If you ever need something, please come to me." Hadrian nodded his head before remember his potion. He quickly jumped up and ran over grabbing a vile and transferring some of the potion over into it.

"I'm sorry. I have to take this to my friend now." He was almost out of the room whenever he was stopped.

"Is it alright if I meet this friend?" Hadrian stilled for a minute to think.

"You can't tell anybody about her. Alright?" Severus nodded as they headed towards the west wing in the top floor. They walked into the large room and saw a beautiful girl in a large sweater staring out the window. Hadrian glanced at the food on the bedside table and frowned. "Cordelia. You need to eat."

"It is of no use. Thy shall not be alive much longer for the human food to be relevant for thyself." Hadrian rolled his eyes as he walked over to the girl, leaving Severus to linger at the door.

Hadrian grabbed her hand and led her to the sofa. "Here. This might work." He handed her the potion.

"I've already told you, there is no potion known that can reverse the posion of the Kraken."

"Has anyone ever countered Kraken posion using that same element in a potion. I made this potion from scratch. Now, try it." Cordelia just looked at Hadrian wearily before tipping her head back with the vile to her mouth.

Immediately, Cordelia could feel magic rush through her body and she could feel the ill effects begin to reverse. She quickly got up and ran to the bathroom, immediately turning on the tap for the tub.

"I can feel it. I can also hear the ocean again."

"Severus, can we please be left in private?" The Potion's Master just nodded before leaving.

A rain-storm-colored tail appeared, the end hanging over the side of the tub.

Tears began to form in her eyes as she was healed from the poison. Hadrian just smiled softly at her.

Cordelia reached out of the tub and hugged Hadrian, their shirts sticking together as they embraced each other.

The day finished with them hanging out together. Whenever Draco came to check up on Hadrian, the raven-haired boy said that he was feeling slightly ill and just wanted to rest for the rest of the day. Which he was. There were so many fumes from the potions that his head was pounding, but he didn't let that dampen his mood.

The two fell asleep that night in the same bed again. Cordelia and Hadrian were practically siblings, so it didn't bother either of them.
