9 - Hate - Love

Karthik gained consciousness and looked around. He thought he was left alone by his senior and walked out to see if there was someone.

He noticed his senior lying on his brother's shoulder and Rajesh resting his head taking the support of the wall. His wide smile showed how big a shipper he is of 'Rajsree'. He even took a picture of the beautiful moment that happens once in a blue moon.

Not deliberately but Karthik woke up his brother just by the light and sound of the flash. Rajesh, whose sleep was disturbed, rubbed his eyes to get a clear sight of what was happening and finally when he managed to get the clear vision, he saw his brother standing in front of him.

The younger brother expected way too much but to his shock, Rajesh didn't even have the slightest change in his reaction. He expected his brother to at least ask how he is feeling.

When Karthik was about to say something, his brother stopped him from uttering a single word with just a finger on his lip.

Being confused by who the patient was, he sat on the opposite chair. Added to that he was being warned by his brother.

After a while, Anu woke up. Though Rajesh's shoulder helped her to have some support, she was having difficulty keeping her neck straight. While cracking the bones, rotating her head clockwise and anti-clockwise, she noticed her assistant sitting there all frowned up.

The moment she saw him, "Karthik? Are you okay?" She asked, getting a bit closer to him.

"I guess I am," he answered, being disappointed for not getting enough attention though he was the patient.

Meanwhile, Rajesh was adjusting his shoulder which was in the same position for about one hour.

"When did you wake up?" She asked with eyes full of concern.

"When you were having a good nap I guess," he said. Karthik was happy that they were together but hated the fact that his senior's sleep meant more to his brother rather than his health condition.

"Why didn't you wake me?" She asked Rajesh.

"He asked me not to," he pointed his finger to his brother.

Rajesh, who was stretching, was caught off guard. "What?" He asked her when she was glaring at him. She looked at him with eyes full of questions and Rajesh understood that he owed her an explanation.

"See, I was just being considerate… I mean witnessing an insomniac person sleep itself is such a blessing," After a pause, "I don't want to be a sinner," he said.

Karthik understood why his brother didn't let him disturb Anu.

Anu was disgusted with his statement. When she was about to pick a fight with him, she got a call.

"Thank this person!" She said taking the mobile out of her pocket. Getting a call from Lavanya after having a dirty fight with Aditya is very much expected.

"Where are you?" Ms. Lavanya asked not giving her a chance at least to wish.

It was quite obvious that Lavanya would change Anu's assistant for this case if she knows about Karthik's health. Moreover, Lavanya was over obsessed with this case.

Knowing what kind of person her evil friend is, she decided to lie. "On my way back to the office," she hid about Karthik's health as she didn't want to have any other assistant except for him.

"Meet me the moment you come back," Lavanya hung the call. She understood that it was going to be a long and tiring day.

"Karthik, I gotta go," she made her way back to his little brother.
