Akshara stood there in the middle of her family's living room with the divorce papers in her hand, trying to process this new unwelcome development in her relationship, courtesy of her angry Abhi.

It was Neil's message informing her that he left with his brother to the temple as per her instructions that brought her out of the stupor. She had overcome two of the seven stages of grief - the stages of shock and denial of her husband's decision, the pain and the guilt of thinking that she was the reason for their relationship to break and now... All she felt was anger at him!

Anger at his impulsiveness, anger at his temper, anger at the way he refused to see and hear anything other than what he wanted to hear, anger at the way he mis-construed every single gesture of hers, anger at the situation and anger at the misunderstandings and the fights between the families that had kept on happening!

And with this anger, she got into her car, ready to go to the temple where their love story had truly started and now where she would confront Abhimanyu and call him out on his stupid erratic impulsive behaviour.

She was fuming in anger while driving and had reached almost midway when she got Neil's call. She picked it up and before she could say hello, she heard Neil asking her where she was and that he wouldn't be able to stall Abhimanyu for long.

She had barely been able to tell Neil that she was already halfway through when she saw the high speed truck coming her way with the driver looking like he was shít faced drunk.

She had immediately turned her steering wheel to maybe save herself from the fatal accident but it had been too late. Her car had skidded on the gravel and with a loud screech, her car had banged against the tree.

Akshu could hear Neil's worried and scared voice calling her "Bhabhi" on the phone but after seeing all the glass and blood that she was covered with, she didn't have the strength to comfort or assure him. All she managed to whisper was "Abhi..." before she blacked out.
