Smiles aren't always true

No matter how much we may smile in a day
We know that deep inside it doesn't feel the same way
Because emptiness sometimes fills our very heart
Not always knowing why it is tearing apart

And yes, you may think it is easy to dismay,
But still end up failing to shoo it away,
Because feelings carve a special place in your heart,
Like a permanent scar that, of you, is a part.
