Drifting Away

Over the course of my life I have met many exciting and memorable people, some of who I wish I could have stayed in contact with, some I wish I could have watched grow alongside myself. In the end friendships aren't forever no matter who they are with. There are those who would tell you different but they are liars. Your memory of your friends is eternal as could your loyalty to one be, however friends will one day drift apart and what remains of your friendship will drift on an icy path, a glacier moving steadily towards oblivion overtaking both life and death as something almost like limbo.
(An ode to many friends I lost and have lost contact with over time. If you're reading this some of you will know who you are and who I speak of. If you do not, then I'm sure you at least can relate.)
