Y/N's POV

~Restroom still~

We stood in the restroom just hugging in a comfortable silence that was until we heard the restroom door slam open seeing female teachers and a bunch of students "JONATHAN BYERS! WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THE FEMALE BATHROOM!" The teacher yells yanking you away from Jonathan and pushing you behind her. "Did he do anything to you? Are you ok? Are you hurt?" She asked me looking worried. "What no! He would never!" I say in defense of Jonathan knowing that he's not what everyone thinks he is. "Are you sure? Is he making you say this?" She questions once more "What? No, I would nev-" Jonathan started but was interrupted by the teacher "I WASN'T ASKING YOU BYERS!" The teacher yells. "DON'T YELL AT HIM!" I yelled at the teacher not caring if I got in trouble, "HE'S NOT WHAT EVERYONE THINKS HE IS!" I continue to yell. "He's not a perv nor a creep. He's nice, sweet, caring, and loving. He is always there for me, his little brother Will, Mike, and even his mother!" I say walking over to Jonathan and grabbing his hand. "He was in here because he was trying to comfort me because of the golden boy of this shit show of a school Steve." I say looking at Jonathan who was looking at me with a gentle smile on his face squeezing my hand lightly. I smile back at him. " I don't think I've ever met someone as caring, loving, and sweet as him," I continue. "Now, if y'all want to keep making him out as a creep or a perv then go ahead but he's the best person I have ever met!" And with that, I squeeze his hand looked at him and dragged him out of the restroom and past everyone and the teacher. "Wow! I didn't know you felt that way." Jonathan says as we walked to my locker first grabbing my stuff then we walked to his so he could grab his stuff as well then walking out of the school and to his car. He opened the door for me I get in and he walks around the car and got in himself. We then drove to nowhere since Mike and Will were still at school as we should also be. As Jonathan drove he put his hand on my thigh. I start blushing like crazy. I looked away and out of the window hoping he didn't notice me blushing, but luckily for me he did and chuckled squeezing my thigh lightly, causing me to blush even more. We stop at a little opening in the woods. Jonathan got out of the car and came to open my door like he always did. "Thanks," I say shyly still blushing feeling my heart pounding in my chest. He grabs my hand and leads me to a little creek surrounded by rocks and a stone-like path in the water. He led me to a dry rock on the side carefully and we sat down on it. I rest my head on his shoulder still holding hands. "You know...when I said I love you in the restroom I meant it with everything in my body," Jonathan said resting his head on top of mine. "I've loved you ever since I first laid eyes on you, the first time Mike hosted their little game at your house and I had to pick up Will because he didn't have his bike 'cause he needed a new chain and tire since he popped it," Jonathan added chuckling near the end when talking about the time he had to pick up Will. I smile and giggle softly. "Yeah, not the best outfit option for a first impression." I laugh slightly. "Maybe for you, but for me, I thought you looked so cute. In some sweatpants and a cropped tank top. God, I thought you were adorable and I just couldn't take my eyes off of you." He let out an airy chuckle. "That's ok I couldn't take my eyes off you either." I said quietly swaying my legs back and forth over the rock above the water. We just sit in comfortable silence for a while. "What did you mean when you said you love me? Do you love me just as a friend or more than a friend?" I nervously asked, he didn't say anything for a second which made me even more nervous. "W-well...Uhm..." He nervously chuckled. "I...Uhm...I love you more than a friend..." He said nervously. I could feel my cheeks heat up and I slightly squeeze his hand. "U-uhm...w-what about you?" He asked. "I'd do anything for you, but I-I've loved you as more than a friend ever since we first became friends..." I said nervously. Jonathan grabbed my face by my chin slowly looking into his eyes. He slowly leaned in and so did I closed my eyes as he gently placed his lips onto mine in a gentle yet passionate kiss I kissed him back. We pulled away breathing heavily trying to catch our breaths, Jonathan placed his forehead on mine closing his eyes still trying to catch his breath "God! I've wanted to do that for so long," He huffs out. "Me too," I say looking into his eyes. "We should probably go get the boys hu?" Jonathan says with an airy chuckle, "Yeah probably." I giggle. We got up and walked back to the car to go pick up Mike and Will. Once we got there they were standing outside of their school wondering what took us so long, they got in, "God! What took you guys so long?" Mike questions. I giggled "Sorry Will, sorry Mike, we got caught up in some stuff at school." I answered with a small genuine smile. Jonathan continued to drive me and Mike home. Once we pulled up to my house I looked over at Jonathan as Mike has already gone inside with Will, "Do you want me to pick you up later and just drive around town?" Jonathan asked me. I just nodded kissing him on the cheek getting out quickly knowing that Will would most likely be staying over for the night Jonathan drove off. I walked inside upstairs and into my room to start getting ready for later not knowing when he was picking me up. As I finish getting ready I hear a honk from outside, I look out my window and see Jonathan's car, I grab my bag and rushed outside, Jonathan was leaning on the hood of his car waiting for me, once he saw me he went to open the door for me. "Thank you, kind sir," I giggle bowing down lightly. He chuckled and shook his head as I got in, walking around the car and getting in as he slowly backed away from my house. "So where do you want to go?" He asked glancing at me quickly focusing back on the road, "I don't know let's just drive and see where we go." I said looking over at him with a soft smile, he smiles back placing his hand on my thigh giving it a light squeeze.

~Time skip~

We drove around town for a while until we came to a stop near the woods with a clearing that looked like a walking trail, Jonathan grabbed my hand leading me down the trail "You're not going to kill me right?" I asked jokingly, "No I'm not going to kill you," Jonathan replied with a chuckle I giggle and we continued walking down the trail. "Where are we going?" I asked, "It's a surprise," Jonathan chuckled. "Ughhhhh" I groaned while he continued to pull me to where ever he was taking me. "Close your eyes," He told me "Why?" I asked, "Just do it" He laughed. I closed my eyes as he told me. I could hear water running and I knew where we were. The place where we had our first 'date', was a clearing in the woods with a little pond and a rock cliff.

~Flashback~

Y/N's POV~

"Jonathan where are you taking me?" I moaned as my legs started to hurt. "It's a surprise," He replied with a small laugh. "Whatever" I rolled my eyes as I started to get tired "Can you give me a piggyback ride?" I asked Jonathan "Why?" He asked chuckling "I'm getting tired" I groaned, "Fine, hop on." He crouched down with me hopping onto his back. "Alright, we should be getting close," He says happily. As we got closer I could hear water running. Soon we arrived at a clearing with a small pond but big enough for you to be able to swim in, as well as a rock cliff that overlooked the town. "Wow," I said in awe "This is beautiful Jonathan," I said hopping off of his back and looking around taking in the sight of the beautiful clearing surrounded by trees. "You like it?" He asked nervously with a light giggle. "No," He looked upset, "I love it, Jonathan! It's amazing. Why didn't you bring me here sooner?" I said his face lit up with joy "I'm glad you like it Y/n, and I didn't show before because I knew I wanted to bring someone here who's truly special in my life." He said shyly rubbing the back of his neck. I walked up to him and gave him a quick peck on the cheek, a blush creeping up onto both of our cheeks. All I could think was how much I am in love with him.

~End of Flashback~

"Jonathan?" I questioned, "Hm?" He hummed "I think I know where you're taking me," I said with a small smile on my face "Oh really?" He asked and I could just tell that he had a slight smirk on his face. "Yeah," I said in a dream-like tone. "Well let's see if you were correct 'cause we're here." He said letting go of my hand. "Open," He continued. I opened my eyes looking around like I did when he first brought me here "Still as beautiful as the first time." I say looking at him lovingly "I know right but there's more." He said grabbing my hand and leading me to the cliff, "OMG Jonathan!" I gasp "No way" I looked at him "You like it Y/n?" He asked with a nervous chuckle, "No." He looks upset I grab his hands making him look at me "I love it, Jonathan," I kiss him passionately. "You didn't need to do this," I whisper with my forehead resting on his. "I'm glad you like it Y/n," He says kissing me again.
