Humming

17 years later

Fascinating, isn't it, how birds chirp louder when close and it seems like sweet noises when they are afar, must be the distance, I guess.

There I was taking a stroll in the gardens when someone yelled "Diemos!"

 
It must be my imagination or is that my mother actually calling out for me. 

It's surprising because she hadn't said a single thing to me ever since I got back from Dansevile a few weeks back.

She approaches me saying
"You had better have a good explanation for why you are out here roaming the gardens while your father is singing your praises in there to the Emperor of the Seven kingdoms, if you have no respect for i or your father, at least show your respect for the king!"

Ah, so thats why she called out to me, oh well, i thought as much as i continued my stroll

"Diemos!, are you even listening!?...."

I stop to pick a flower that caught my eye and notice she was still ranting so I cut her off saying
"You speak of respect lady quin, yet here you are, with me, away from the Emperor too" I said annoyingly with a smirk

"You brat, I did not raise y..." she said in anger
I raised my head from the flower that caught my eye for a second twisting it between my fingers and cut her sentence short saying
"Raise me?"

I laughed softly and continued

"Do you even know the meaning of those words? lady quin"

I said turning coldly at her for a second, she stepped back a little in fright trying to conceal it. Then I continued turning and moving slowly to her

"i have no respect for You lady quin, as is well known, my father on the other hand you will not speak that of, I hold him in high regards, considering he is the only parent I have"

I said staring coldly into her eyes at this time, then I continued
"In all my travels I have met the emperor on not one but multiple occasions, if I anger him with my lack of presence, I shall make up for it in my own time. Do not think...that you can tell me what to do in an act to show concern, concern coming from only your greed of course but...nonetheless concern I have no patience for. Have a nice day lady quin, I'm sure there's someone amongst your maidens that would have a hard time poisoning you today as you put a lot of effort in searching for them"

I put the flower in her hands and continued my stroll leaving her shaken.

Later that day I could see the birds going home in the yellow lit evening sky, that brought back memories of the one time I went horse riding in the Daxandes field with a beautiful fair maiden. I never caught her name or where she came from, but I don't think I can ever forget our encounter. I was riding when I saw a beautiful tree with pink leaves much like the ones at home, but the leaves were bright, and it stood not so far from a cliff. I dropped from my horse to get a good look at the view, when I got close, I saw someone sitting underneath the tree. She was more beautiful than the tree itself, with glowing light brown skin that shimmered in the sun and locks of dark brown hair, long legs stretched out exposing her slightly fair thighs, she was humming beautifully with her eyes closed.

"Are you lost?"
I asked jokingly

She smirked and spoke
"I must be, if someone's here asking such a question"

She opened her eyes and looked up at me, that's when I noticed her beautiful blue eyes.

"Enjoying the view?" She asked as I realized I was unknowingly caressing her body with my eyes, I smirked and looked away, then she got up.

"No one ever comes here, either you're lost, or I came to the wrong tree" she said softly at me.

" I'm not lost" I said walking towards to the cliff, I turned and saw her majestic white horse, then I looked at the horizon and spoke

"It just seemed like a great view, more now than when I thought so"

She walked up to me and asked, " well, is it?"

"Is what?" I asked, looking down at her.

She leaned closely and looked into my eyes and I into hers and she smiled then turned and spoke

"You said it seemed like a great view, well is it...a great view?"

"Yes, it's...perfect" I said looking at her.

We both laughed as she caught me staring at her when I made that sentence.

The sound of Kiar foot brought me back from my thoughts.

"Dreaming about that mystery lady of yours again Diemos?" He asked grabbing me by the neck, ruffling through my hair, laughing.

I managed to push him off laughing and spoke

" I will find her, someday"

"I'm sure you will little brother, there's nothing you set your mind to that you don't get done" he said proudly at me.

"Anyway, come on now, let's go see what that bone assed Emperor came all this way for shall we" he said pulling me away laughing.
