"Tia!" I call out, running down the narrow and crowded hallway of the university I was attending. Dodging people whilst trying to run ain't as easy as they made it look in movies, that's for sure. Muttering a few "sorry."s as I bumped people occasionally, I finally caught up with Tia.
"Hey!" I say, falling into a normal walking pace next to her. She turns to me, her green eyes seemingly alarmed by my appearance.
"Jess! Where did you come from?" she asks suddenly, breaking into a big smile and wrapping her arm around my shoulders in a quick hug.
I laugh and explain that I'd just come from the cafe with Taylah, and how we bumped into Mel, and how I saw her a while ago walking down the hallway and sprinted to catch up to her."Oh! Sorry, I didn't hear you!" she laughs as we turn into our already crowded class room. We take our usual seats in the middle of the room, and begin to take out our notes and textbooks.
"Hey I saw Taylah texting Mattheus this morning," I say, raising my eyebrows and wiggling them at Tia. I put my laptop on my desk and open to the notes I typed, but I can see Tia from the corner of my eye.
"Really?" she seems shocked.
"Yeah I think there might be something going on there," I smirk.
Tia opens her laptop, "They'd be so cute!" she semi-screams.Mr Andrews walks into the classroom, and silence falls as quickly as it rose.
"Good morning everyone. There are only a few short days until your final exam, so today will include private study," he says, taking a seat at his large desk and opening his laptop. I smile at Tia as I begin to read over my notes. The class seemingly goes forever, until it's finally time to leave. I smile to myself as I gather my textbooks up and place them in my bag along with my laptop. I stand up at the same time as Tia, and we walked out of class together, discussing our plans for the weekend and how we were both nervous about our exams.
I reach my car and say goodbye to Tia, deciding on going to the beach to relax for a bit. It's not a long drive, and before I know it, I'm being welcomed by the salty air and yellow sand of the beach. Although I'm wearing sneakers, I kick them off and walk down to the sand, sitting on a rock that the water crashes on.
I watch the waves roll in, and realise the beach is deserted. I smile to myself, leaning back on my hands and turning my face up to the sun. I love the beach, and how calming it can be.
I lose track of time, and before I know it, the sun's setting, and my phone's vibrating. I take it out of my pocket and see who's trying to call me.
It's Nick./////////////////////////////////////
