Save me a dance?

Of course.

Pulling away, max saw something she hasn't seen since the day they've met. A sparkle in alexia's eyes.

"are... you okay?" alexia ask, concerned about max not moving at all. Max snap out of her trance and smiles.

"yeah. Yeah, just happy. I can't believe i get to kiss the prettiest girl i have ever seen." alexia holds back her chuckles that's threatening to get out.

"hmm. It doesn't work like that, mayfield." Max shrugged, unbothered.  Smiling.

"worth a shot. But, honestly, admit it. That was smooth." alexia said nothing but shook her head, kissing the tip of max's nose.

"sam owens. Dr. Sam owens." they have no idea what's happening between the chief's conversation with a woman, but they can see and hear that the chief is getting frustrated. "i don't know how many people are in there! I Don't know how many people are left alive!" yeah, it's an understatement to say that the chief is indeed getting frustrated.

"jesus. No one is gonna believe..." max threw alexia a look making alexia throw her a matching look.

"i am the police! Chief Jim hopper!" alexia raised an eyebrow at max. Point proven. They've been waiting for minutes and it's been the same conversation. Over and over, again. "Yes, the number that i gave you, yes. 6767... I will be here." the younger teens watch the chief slam the telephone back.

"they didn't believe you, did they?" dustin asked. All the kids threw him a knowing look. Hopper sigh.

"we'll see." that short answer almost cut the wire of the ticking bomb that's setting off at the kids body, especially mike's and alexia's.

",'we'll see'? We can't just sit here while those things are loose!" mike exclaimed. Honestly, alexia would've have done the same if max isn't holding her back.

"we stay here, and we wait for help." hopper tried his best to stay calm. The kids watch as he leave and went towards the wall which lead to Will's room.

Alexia softly held max's hand before gesturing max that it's okay to lean on her shoulder, seeing how tired the red head.

Mike slowly walks towards the blue rubik's cube. "did you guys know that bob was the original founder of hawkins AV?" he ask, longingly.

"really?" dustin shots back a question.

"he petitioned the school to start it and everything." mike said, turning to them. "then he had a fund-raiser for equipment." the party, plus max and alexia, listen to him. Max started playing with alexia's bracelet. "Mr. Clarke learned everything from him." mike walks back to them. "pretty awesome, right?"

"yeah" lucas and dustin said. Mike sits back at his chair, setting the cube from his hand to the flat surface of the table.

"we can't let him die in vain." dustin looks up.

"what do you want to do, mike?" dustin ask. The mix of anger and sadness in his voice. "the chief's right on this. We can't stop those demo-dogs on our own." max looks at him, slightly lifting her head from alexia's shoulder.

"demo-dogs?" max looks at him, ridiculously. Dustin looks at him, dumbfounded.

"demogorgon dogs." he made a hand gesture of combining. "demo-dogs. It's like a compound." mike looks at him like his crazy, while max looks at him, silently. Alexia shook her head, leading max's head back to leaning on her shoulder. "it's like a play on words..."
