Chapter 9~ Smile

"I hope everyone didn't miss me too much!"

Apple says in a sarcastic tone. Loralei looks shocked with her eyes watering with tears.

"What are you doing here how did you get out!"

Loralei cried as she stood up and pushes Jules behind her.

"Oh don't protect her, after all, she was the one who contacted me."

Loralei turned and faced Jules. Jules put her head down as she couldn't bare to see the betrayal in her mother's eyes.

"H-how.. why! After everything, I told you that she's done you still contacted her?! I couldn't even imagine why Jules. Why would you do this to me?"

Jules starts to slowly walk toward her grandmother and Apple's smile continues to grow bigger and bigger. 

"Mom just listen to me~"

Jules said but was cut off my Apple saying,

"No why don't you listen to me, dear... Lucinda, which you should know very well Bellamy, contacted me around 15 years ago. She was obviously looking for Roman and thought I of all people would know where he went. She was the one who released me from Cricket's sap and when she found out I didn't know where that traitor went I went on my merry way."

"That still doesn't explain why my daughter is standing by your side!" 

"I contacted her as YOU Loralei... had the audacity to keep my granddaughter from me all these years."

Apple smiled as she put her arm around Jules. Loralei's heart began to break.

Apple continued,

"At 1st she wanted nothing to do with me but when she had troubles with her roommate, she knew I was the only one who could help her... Bellamy, Lucinda is waiting for us outside."

Bellamy stared at Apple and said, 

"How do I know you're telling the truth."

"Read a history book. Now Jules, are you coming with us?"

Jules looks around the room and sees Apple and Bellemy standing side by side, then her mother heartbroken.

Her mind was swirling with questions unanswered so she said,

"Why are you with him?! He tried to hurt me."

"That's because he doesn't know the power you hold. Your mother has always taught you to suppress your magic now... hasn't she?"

Jules looked back at her mom and remembered all the horrible things she told her about what her magic could do, mainly because of what Apple could do. But whenever Jules practiced her magic she felt... good not evil. She was so curious about what she could become.

"I'm with Lucinda because I too am curious about where your grandfather has been all these years... wouldn't you like to meet him and learn about your family's history?"

Loralei shook her head at Jules but, Jules was old enough to decide her own faith.

"Mom, I'm sorry but... I just need to know more."

"Jules you get back here right now!"

Jules shed a tear as she turned away from her and whispered.."

"I'll be back soon~"

(In Hell Province)

"When have you last heard from Selene?"

Aron said as he sat down at the kitchen table drinking a glass of water.

Cricket, in the kitchen cooking, said

"Oh, yesterday! She's doing so well with this job."

Aron nodded as he looks down at the water in his glass, he says

"How old were we when we took the crown Cricket?"

Cricket steps back and says,

"Um... I would say I began my training my last year of high school and then we got engaged when everything~ happened."

"So our kids are the age to take the crown... "

"Well, Selene can't she's already running a kingdom of her own but..."

"Fengari."

Cricket looked at Aron and said,

"Look I love him dearly but do you really think he can handle this?"

"No."

Aron said bluntly as he takes a sip. Cricket sits down next to Aron,

"Can you heat this up for me I forgot about~"

Aron grabs his cold mug of hot cocoa and heats it up for him, as he heats it up,

"Who is going to take the crown from us?"

As Cricket grabs his mug he says...

"I dunno."

Fengari closes his bedroom door and thinks about everything he just heard, he performs a spell and looks up at a shadowy figure

"Well, are you on board?"

It said. Fengari says,

"..."

"Are you sure? Grandson~"

"... I'm in"
