{Bryce's POV}

Things are starting to get back to normal.

In short, Liam found a way back home. Somehow, and I still question it, but I guess he found a way. I figured I'd let him move in with me, after all, he practically had no idea where to stay. And I guess I also, technically, let Texty move in too..? Eh, I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Luckily enough, Liam was also able to get a job back into telemarketing, since he insisted that he'd help pay rent. I wish he didn't though, I don't want to cause him so much trouble. But he just does it anyway.

Heh, it's kinda adorable- wait what? No- what are you thinking?

{Third Person POV}

Everyone was pretty much living normal lives after ONE. Amelia decided to take care of Tray, Whippy Creamy, Subway Seat and Atom in Washington after they got back to Earth, while Charlotte went back to Georgia and decided to make up with her friend Parker. Airy came back to Earth as well, but no one knows what's been happening with him ever since..

Anyways, Liam, Bryce and Texty were practically back in Bridgeport in the same apartment they've been staying in. Winter was kicking in as fall was near its end. It took 2 more months on Airy's universe to get everyone out of the Plane. There wasn't much to be concerned about ever since the competition. ..Right?

Bryce and Liam were getting ready for work, getting their morning routines done to get prepared for the long day. Bryce looked on the calendar. It was the first day of December, and pretty soon enough Christmas was gonna be here.. He suddenly started to space out.

He remembered when he was around 10 or 11 years old. He and Stella were going to visit the rest of his family for that Christmas. Bryce wasn't quite able to socialize with his aunts, uncles, nor his cousins very much, so he stuck around with Stella. She was almost the only family member he could trust, and was completely attached to as well. No relative in their family would go between those two...

..

He snapped out of it and walked away, getting his mind off that memory and started packing up.

"Ready to go Liam?"

The backpack looked up, face full of food.

"Yeh- lemme finih brefast fhirst!"

The soda bottle chuckled at him.

They hurried out of the room to get to work, but before he locked the door, a text-to-speech voice could be heard saying,

Texty: bye guys, have fun!!|

"Thanks Texty!"

They got to the car and drove off to work. It was a pretty busy day, and time flew as clocks would spin like a merry-go-round.

While Liam was at work, he felt something itch. He unzipped himself to figure out the source of it, and found a piece of paper. It had Owen's phone number on it.

He remembered seeing Owen back in Los Angeles to get a charger for Texty.

"I got a new number a while back, let me write it down for you. Be sure to call me sometime!"

Liam stared at the paper. He got up from his desk and looked around for a telephone. As soon as he found one, he darted his eyes at it and went over to type the number in.

The phone rang as he waited for an answer. He wiped the sweat off his hands right before he heard:

"Hey! This is Owen, how can I help?"

"Owen? It's me, Liam!"

"Oh, Liam! How you doin' in Australia?"

Liam went silent. He remembered how he lied to come up with something reasonable about his disappearance for 7 months. He wanted to come clean, but now didn't seem the time. He decided to be somewhat honest about his whereabouts now, though.

"Uh.. actually, I decided to take a job back here in America!"

"Oh wow! You're really travelling all over the place!"

"Well, uh, how about you? I actually didn't hear about how you were doing the last time we met."

"I'm doing great! I got a different telemarketing job too! Sad they closed up our old workplace."

Some background noise could be heard over the call.

"Aw man, I gotta get back to work. Call me again sometime, okay?"

"Yeah. Hope to hear from you again!"

The call ended just like that. He was lucky to know Owen was doing okay back in LA.

...

It felt like the day ended as soon as it came. As they drove home, Bryce thought of his family back at his old home. He didn't quite know what to do.

Liam could see the worry on the soda bottle's face. He wished he could do something about what he was going through. The backpack still felt slight guilt for having dragged Bryce into the cat and mouse chase they had about ONE, so he just wanted to do something good in return.

However, Liam could sense some weird feeling when he was near Bryce. His face would glow warm, there were butterflies in his stomach.. Almost as if he liked him in that sense.

It started to snow as the two got home. They barely had any words to say for each other.

"Uh.. how was work?"

"Uh, it was okay. I was able to call back my old friend."

"O-oh. Good to hear."

Bryce unlocked the door. The computer on the table remained off, meaning Texty was already asleep.

They just simply hoped it was just gonna be another normal evening. Bryce and Liam brushed their teeth and respectively got to bed. Liam ended up still having to be on the floor with a sleeping bag, but he didn't mind.

Bryce turned the lights off, and the two eventually drifted off to bed.

{1:18 pm}

*knock knock*

Bryce woke up. There were knocks at the door. He looked at the clock and wondered who could it be at this time of the night.

Bryce opened the door, only to see...

"Hello."

The soda bottle stood there, having an expression of shock. It.. couldn't be?
