A sudden and somewhat meaningful kick in the ribs from Robin pained Avila into waking up the next morning. In defence of her cousin, Avila saw no malice in her actions, the couch they shared to sleep on was rather small for two people.

"Ouch!" Avila whinged, turning over to face Robin who was already wide awake, sat up upon the couch glaring down at her.
"Sorry, I twitched." Robin snarled, rolling her eyes. If this was her best attempt at trying to stay mad, Avila wasn't buying any of it. Robin was famously bad for struggling to hide her true feelings. And this time, she may as well have been transparent.
"How did you sleep?" Avila asked nervously, offering out an olive branch bravely as she sat up across from her scorned cousin.
"Not great." Robin looked away. "Got a lot on my mind at the minute, yanno."
Before she could even fathom up another question, Robin continued the guilt trip she was forcing her cousin upon.
"But I assume you already know that?" She suggested, harshly. "Seeing as you have superpowers now and can enter people's minds. I bet you can read minds too? Hell, I bet you know exactly what I'm about to say next...."
"Robin, its not like that." Avila pleaded, taking her cousins hand in hers. "I'm sorry, I should have told you..."
"Yeah you frickin should!" Robin struggled to contain her tears any longer, crying in anger as Avila cradled her lovingly in her arms. Before long, Robin couldn't resist and wrapped her arms tightly around her cousin.
"I'm sorry." Avila wept. "I didn't mean to hurt you."
Pulling away, Robin began to giggle through the tears as she cupped Avila's face gently.
"You could never hurt me Avila." She smiled. "Just promise me there'll be no more secrets between us, ever."
"Absolutely." Avila agreed. "I'll tell you everything."
"Hey, don't forget about me." Steve stumbled into the room, gripping his head with one hand as he sat himself between the two girls on the couch. "What have I missed? What are we telling each other?"
"Don't worry dingus we'll fill you in once you're more.... yourself." Robin patted him gently on the head.
As she giggled away, Steve scowled, shuffling more towards where Avila was. Looking to her now, Steve stared at her for a moment or two, seeming to examine each part of her face. An unsuspecting party would think he didn't recognise her at all.
"Steve?" Avila asked, confused and slightly freaked out by his behaviour. "You okay there buddy?"
Staring at her closely, Steve's eyes suddenly enlarged. He'd come to some sort of realisation.
"Shit!" He cursed, placing his hand over his mouth. "Did I really say.... about your.... and your."
As Steve struggled to find his words, instead he found himself gesturing towards Avila's chest area once again.
The penny finally dropped for them both, as they recalled his drugged antics of the night before.
"Jesus Christ Harrington!" Robin scolded him. "You have a serious problem with Boobs, it's almost turning into an obsession!"
"No, no!" Steve waved his arms around, stirring up the attention of the others who began filtering into the lounge now. "I didn't do anything, I was clearly drugged! It was a misunderstanding right Avila?"
Looking at the girls who giggled away together, Steve quickly caught on that this was indeed a joke. All of it. They had found humour at his demise once again.
"Oh very funny." He mimicked them, folding his arms in a huff.
Mike, Lucas, Will and Dustin joined them now, each looking rightfully confused by the situation.
"What's so funny?" Dustin asked, the four of them taking their seats, Lucas switching on the TV almost immediately.
"Nothing that your poor, young, innocent ears could handle." Steve admitted, jumping to his feet before retrieving to the kitchen for a drink. Watching him strut away, Avila continued to laugh before suddenly noticing that someone was missing from their brood. Eddie wasn't here.
As the others went ahead with their somewhat normal morning routines; eating, watching TV, or if you were Steve, putting ice on your bruised ego. Avila thought this time be the best to approach Dustin quietly.
"Hey, Where's Eddie?" She asked him allusively, trying not to arouse suspicion.
"Oh shit, you don't know." Dustin answered, looking to Lucas and Mike for assistance, considering they were already listening in eagerly.
"Wait, she doesn't know that today is..." Mike interrupted. "Oh shit."
"What?" Avila became annoyed and inpatient. "Shit what guys?"
"He'll be at the school." Lucas explained. "His uncle helps out down there a couple of times a week, it's the only real way Eddie can see him whilst staying hidden. I bet he was up at the crack of dawn just to get down there without being caught."
"Oh." Avila couldn't hide her disappointment, she hoped to wake up to his cute, smiling face after their amazing game of D&D last night. Noticing her expression change all of a sudden, Dustin smirked to himself.
"I bet he wouldn't be-grudge having a visitor?" Dustin suggested, shrugging his shoulders to her. "We could go down to the school and 'help out'."
Watching them from afar, Robin made her way over suddenly to put a stop to their scheming. "Yeah, your little 'plan' may have to wait." She informed them, taking hold of Dustin's hands and placing them firmly down, ceasing their agenda immediately. "You need to see this."
Ushering the rest of the gang towards the TV now, they each observed a news broadcast currently on air. Classed as 'Breaking News', the reporter presented themselves outside of Hawkins' High.
