Chapter 11 The Idea

Ok, so the tutoring wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, I had to help him with English which was the only thing that I was ever any good at. Aiden was always there in the library so Dave couldn't try anything and for that I was grateful but Dave would always make these snide comments about how he knew that I wanted him and that my dad would get what he wanted and he and I would rule the company together. All of that I could handle but when it came to the night, I would rely on having Aiden there to comfort me, I liked falling asleep in his arms. I had never had someone want to protect me as much as he did and even though I found it extremely annoying most of the time, he wouldn't be him if he didn't worry.

It had been about a month of constant daily tutoring. I really was getting fed up of the same stupid comments, the same attempts at making him and my dad seem better than a normal one and Aiden. I couldn't do anything though I wasn't going to be able to.

In other news Charity had finally given up on the whole Aiden thing, she had her eyes set on another, one that may help me. As you can probably guess she had her eye on Dave, she would sit and flirt with him in homeroom and it was pretty obvious that he enjoyed the attention.

I was sat in Aiden's room discussing my idea with him. "So what do you think?" I asked.

"I think that it might be great idea it could work out really well for us," He smiled.

"Ok now we have to work out how to get them together," he muttered.

"One of us is going to have to talk to Charity," I smiled at him pleadingly.

"Why me? Aren't you guys ok now?" He asked.

"We're fine but she doesn't like me and will probably actually listen to you, she won't pay any attention if it is me," I explained.

"Ugh fine I'll do it, you know that means you're going to have to talk to Dave right?" He mumbled.

"I know, I'll be fine though I know what I'm doing," I smiled confidently.

"I know you will be, that doesn't mean I won't worry about you," he smiled kissing my forehead,

We didn't talk about it again at least not until we came to the conclusion that it would be better for Aiden to talk to Charity before I talked to Dave, leaving it up to Aiden kind of scared me a little bit but I had to learn trust someone other than myself and of all the people to trust why not the person who loves me for who I am.

Aiden's POV

Today was the day; I had to talk to Charity about Dave I wasn't sure whether it was going to go well or not, I'm not the sort of guy who talks to his ex unless he has to but I guess for Robyn's sake that I had to. I just hoped that the plan worked.

That afternoon I went to find Charity it was just after football practice and I knew she had cheerleading then so after showering and a brief conversation with Robyn I went to get this talk over with. I found her with her group in ground room. (it's just a chill out room where you can hang with friends)

"Hey Charity, can I talk to you for a second?" I asked her quietly not really wanting the full attention of the squad that I already had unfortunately.

"Sure, what do you want?" She asked giving me one of her famous smiles two years ago and I would have fallen head over heels to see that smile but I was relieved to know it did absolutely nothing for me now. It was what I expected but it was better to be safe than to be sorry and I know Robyn would literally kill me if it did.
