CHAPTER-9

As I woke up , with a sweaty face as I again had the repetitive dream I was having for a few days. It was a complicated memory of my childhood. well , I at-least think so.

It was quarter past 5 in the morning , sighing , I got out of my ivory coloured wooden bed , And put on a crimson robe , and started heading downstairs for some fresh air.

It had been a few days of my stay here in Greengrass manor , and I've been already dreading it.  nevertheless, Today the Blacks were coming and that means that Andromeda will be joining me in this grimy manor too. A little joy enlightened in me as my friend was coming , suddenly my vision was blurred and I stumbled on the ground with a pair of muscular arms engulfing me from hitting my head. As I stood up , regaining my cold demeanour I looked up at the person who saved me, and disappointingly, it was one and only Lucifer.

I stared in his eyes for a minute or so , kind of observing him , he had his devilish smirk on his face and he was , bloody hell! he was standing shirtless. After staring at him for two good awkward minutes. he smugly said,

"Done staring ,Persephone?" he said , raising his eyebrow at me while smirking.

"I- I wasn't staring at you , I was in a train of thought. Don't flatter yourself much lestrange" I said ,scoffing at him. He just chuckled.

"Whatever you say Persephone, anyways, Though I might ask that what you are doing here this early in the morning? looking for me I assume?" He smirked , making me gag at him.

"Ah of course not , I was just finding your lovely mother to tell her that her little son is dating a 1st year muggle-born Hufflepuff! oh isn't that such a great news?" I said , now it was my time to smirk , Lucifer turned pale , shocked how I knew about that.

"How do you know about that?" He said , fuming with anger , making me chuckle. 

"I have my ways Lestrange" As I said that , there was a loud shriek heard from the kitchens , I looked at Lucifer alarmingly , who was looking at me with the same expression I had. As we ran towards the kitchens , we saw a big pool of blood on the shiny emerald floor.

I looked at it with horror-stricken eyes , as I noticed the person who'd done this , And it was one and only , Keres. 

As I looked up at lucifer , he  looked quite used to it like he saw this scenario everyday.

I thought I was gonna puke at the scenario , when lucifer asked me,

"Er-you alright? you look like you're gonna puke any second" He said , awkwardly shuffling. I had never seen him like this before. ever.

As I got into my senses , I gave him a hesitant nod as Keres finally noticed us and laughed maniacally.

"Oh my,my what are my two love-birds doing this early? Ah anyways I was gonna call you Belle!, D'you wanna learn the exquisite art of killing imbecilic and worthless living creatures?" She said dramatically waving her wand while giggling.

I let out an exasperated sigh, while Lucifer just chortled, He for god's sake CHORTLED. I was  gonna give him an un-amused look but suddenly, Mrs greengrass came barging in, her ruby robe trailing behind her, she looked like as she saw a bloody troll.

As she saw the pool of the crimson liquid on the floor, her eyes looked like they will pop out any second. As she saw Keres in front of the unnerving sight, she yelped.

"Salazar! m-miss Keres w-what had happened here? oh- M-mister Lucifer and Miss Isabelle w-what are you two doing here?" Miss greengrass stuttered. Keres rolled her eyes and called for the elves.

"oh Syria , don't act so pathetic. It's just some bloody bird's blood! Alfreda will clean it" She said gesturing to the female elf, who was shaking with fear.

By the time it was 8 in the morning, everybody new what had happened in the morning and were chatting about it in the breakfast.

I rolled my eyes as Lucius was again trying to hit on Gwen, who was surprisingly blushing again after the incident that occurred yesterday. Pathetic.

I helped myself with some blue-berry cheese cake and some berries, which were absolutely delish and fresh as I ate them. Lucifer came and sat beside me, serving himself some apple-pie and bacon.

"Still scared and overwhelmed from the morning incident Persephone?" He said , munching on his apple pie while a playful smirk stayed on his lips.

"Shut it Lestrange, you wouldn't want me to bewitch your bacon to a dragon's egg now would you?" I said slyly pulling out my wand from my robe, 'now it's my time to smirk lucifer' I thought while smiling evilly.

Lucifer was deathly allergic to dragon eggs and nobody but I, knew that. Of course Keres told me.

Lucifer turned pale, and glared at me while I chortled at his reaction. 

After breakfast I went to the room I was staying in for the time. As I was looking out the window, I felt someone nip me on my hand, as I looked at it, I saw james's owl Uluka!

She nipped at me affectionately, I saw there was a little letter tied onto her, I gently took it out and gave Uluka a treat and bid her goodbye.

I slowly opened the coffee coloured letter and saw Sirius's scribbly handwriting on the parchment, I let out a small giggle and read it,

𝘏𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘐𝘴𝘢? 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘱𝘶𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘢𝘱 𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘺 𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘑𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥! 𝘙𝘦𝘮𝘶𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘶𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘰𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘸, 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴. I saw a little violet locket tied to the parchment, It was bewitched to say "ISA" whenever I touched it, I felt myself getting red and my stomach lurched. It was so beautiful , It was looking quite expensive, surely Sirius also thought to get Marlene and Lily a present too? Obviously He didn't fancy me nor did I fancied him, we were bloody cousins for merlin's sake.
