No one's POV:

Taehyung quickly made his way to his car, swerving around the various tables and vehicles surrounding the outside of the bar.

Reaching for the handle, Taehyung opened his car door and slid inside. He pushed the shopping bags off of the passenger seat, purposefully ignoring the stacks of unpaid bills that lie underneath.

The notices did absolutely nothing. Taehyung was already reminded daily of the amount of bills he hadn't yet paid. It wasn't just something that went away, nor could it be taken lightly. Money plays into nearly every aspect of life and the grisly reality of not having much to work with was rife in Taehyung's life.

Placing his bag on top of the seat, once again covering up the stack of letters, Taehyung opened it and began to frantically search for what he needed.

Taking out his blood testing kit, Taehyung put the test strip into the blood testing meter, turning on the small device. Next, Taehyung turned to the finger pricking device and pulled the cap off so he could push the lancet in.

Removing the protective cover revealed a fine needle that Taehyung was all too familiar with. It was far too small to hurt but at first, Taehyung was slightly scared of the idea of the sharp needle piercing his skin.

However, Taehyung soon grew used to the slight prick of pain and now it was almost as if nothing was happening. So when Taehyung inserted the needle into his skin after placing the cap back on, adjusting the setting and end, it wasn't too much of a bother.

All that left his mouth was a small hiss before Taehyung carried on and placed his- now blood stained finger- on the test strip that was sticking out of the blood testing device.

Grabbing a tissue out of his empty bag, Taehyung covered the side of his finger where blood was slowly oozing out as he waited for the blood sugar reading.

Seeing that his levels were low, the brunet sifted through his back to find his sugar cubes.

"Shit!" Was all Taehyung said as his heart dropped at the sight of his insulin nearly running out. The bright green packet of sugar laid next to the vial and seeing the insulin nearly empty made Taehyung bite his lip in worry.

He held up the vial and swished the liquid around. It was devastating to see that the motion had very little effect at all.

Taehyung quickly jotted down the time and that he had low blood sugar levels by writing the number from the blood testing device. Then, he took a little cube of sugar out of the packet, popping it into his mouth.

The notepad was full of readings dating back to as long as Taehyung could remember, a mix of hypoglycemia and hyperglycaemia were written over the pages. The all too familiar words of 'hyper' and 'hypo' becoming a weekly occurrence in Taehyung's life.

Packing away all of his things and disposing of the items that couldn't be used again into the little container he had, Taehyung leaned back against his car seat while rubbing his head.

Diabetes was a pain in the ass to be constantly monitoring and getting the latest technology wasn't a financially viable option for Taehyung.

The bills were constantly racking up because Taehyung had to pay for all of his diabetes equipment, on top of all of his other finances.

It was all becoming a bit much really but Taehyung didn't want to give up so easily- always believing that somehow things would get better.

It was then that Taehyung remembered he hadn't eaten his biscuit yet. Getting his blood sugar levels back on track could be sorted out easily by the sugary treat.

Taehyung leant over to his bag and found the half eaten packet of cookies lying in there. Chocolate chip- undeniably the best cookie to ever exist.

After having low blood sugar levels, they always gave him a little pep and since he didn't often get to eat things like this, Taehyung figured this would be a nice way to increase his levels.

Nibbling on the side of the cookie, Taehyung savoured the taste he got to have so rarely and moaned at the delectable taste of the sweet treat.

Eventually, all of the cookie was demolished- no matter how long Taehyung tried to drag out the eating time by taking the tiniest of bites.

Pouting slightly, Taehyung looked at his empty hand, wishing he could have another one but the brunet held his resolve and didn't.

Brushing the crumbs off of his lap, Taehyung layed back into his seat for a bit. Although his original intention was for a calm and relaxing five minutes, he didn't quite achieve the peaceful timeout.

Instead, his blank mind wandered over to Jeongguk and all that had happened tonight. From the creepy beer guy to Marines walking in like they own the place- it had been more than hectic.

However, there are always positives and Taehyung couldn't help the smile that broke out onto his face when he thought of Jimin. He hadn't seen his best friend in quite a long time due to all of his different postings and it felt very nostalgic to see him again.

Jimin even remembered their stupid nicknames for each other- teeny and tiny- that had originated when Taehyung couldn't help but mock Jimin's height- or lack there of.

His vertically challenged friend responsed quickly by pointing out that Taehyung wasn't exactly the tallest guy out there.

Seeing Jimin again was utterly incredible and it was a shame that the night had to be ruined by Jaesung and Jeongguk.

The former was an absolute prick with no regard for his inappropriate and hurtful language. Jeongguk, by association, was someone Taehyung vowed to stay away from.

Marines were trouble anyway and it is already difficult enough having one friend constantly fighting wars- not knowing if they were ever coming back again- Taehyung definitely didn't need any more.

However, by far the most important piece of information Taehyung learned this evening was from Jin.

The part about free health care and medical insurance for spouses sparked a fuse inside of Taehyung. There was no doubt that he was struggling with medical bills. Taking those away would open up a lot of opportunities and meant more money for other finances and debt.

But marry a Marine?

No.

That couldn't happen, besides who would he even pick?
