No one's POV:

Jeongguk looked at the little café nervously, his palms became clammy at the mere thought of what he was about to do. No matter how calmly Jeongguk tried to cool his exterior, his nervous expression did nothing to help the sheer anxiety taking over his very being.

The mere thought of doing something so dreadfully manipulative didn't appeal to Jeongguk.

And yet here he was, a noble Marine doing something far from honourable. Jeongguk could feel his virtue practically slipping away, the thin fragments slipping through his fingers and falling to the dirty ground, forever to be lost.

Part of him didn't even know why he was here- why he was even considering doing something illegal. The ravenet didn't want his morals to slip any further than this but he knew he had to do it.

His dad came first, no matter what.

So with that in mind, Jeongguk pushed the door to the café open, causing the little bell to let out a high-pitched ringing noise.

The ravenet let his eyes roam around the small area as he scoped out who he was looking for. Soon, his hawk like eyes zeroed in on the man he was looking for.

He was wearing light beige trousers and a fluffy blue jumper, he smiled slightly when Jeongguk approached and gestured for him to have a seat.

"Hi Jeongguk,"

"Hi Taehyung," Jeongguk replied as he sat down on the chair opposite the brunet. Jeongguk couldn't control his rapid eye movements as he looked everywhere but Taehyung.

"You're acting kind of suspicious you know," Taehyung joked as he laughed at Jeongguk's worried demeanor. It was kind of funny to see the stoic marine be all nervous.

Completely ignoring the comment, the Marine sighed, trying to compose himself slightly.

He just wanted this over with.

"Yeah well- if we do this. If. Then we need a story okay? You and I didn't get along in the bar the other night and the others saw that. But, you and I got together the next night and I convinced you to go out with me," Jeongguk said while Taehyung listened intently.

"Was it hot? When you asked me out?" Taehyung stated as a smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. Jeongguk looked slightly taken back- not expecting all the questions.

However, he quickly recovered and stated, "Very,"

"Okay I need to know something, why the sudden change of heart. I mean a week ago you were lecturing me on how this is fraud. What made you change you mind?" Taehyung asked as he leaned forward to rest his chin on his palm.

"It is fraud and I don't want to do this," Jeongguk said slightly annoyed. It was true, this is a last resort and if Jeongguk could think of another way to get money quickly then he would but being a Marine severely limited his options.

The truth was that Jeongguk couldn't really afford to give his dad money as well as pay off his own debt and expenses. This seemed like a very convenient way to get out of that situation without cutting his dad off.

"Then don't do it. I'm not going to force you Jeongguk," Taehyung said when he saw Jeongguk's frustrated face, contorted with emotion.

"No I have to," For my dad.

Taehyung nodded at that and didn't pry any further into the topic. Something about the way that Jeongguk said that, like he didn't really have any other option, made Taehyung keep his mouth shut for once.

"But I need you to know what you are getting yourself into. This isn't something that's easy to pull off and we would have to act like we are in love. If this doesn't work I can get court-martialed, as in arrested and potentially doing time. We need to really sell this. Okay?" Jeongguk rambled as he filled Taehyung in about the dangers of a fake marriage.

"Yeah, that's all good," Taehyung replied. The brunet really wanted this to work and even though he didn't like Jeongguk that much, he seemed like a solid option- and that was saying something.

It was either this or nothing and Taehyung was prepared to take a little risk.

"Once I get over to Iraq, we are going to need to set up consistent times that we speak- write romantic emails in case anybody reads them. Then once I get back over here, we will file for divorce. That gives you about a year of free health insurance," Jeongguk planned as he thought out the ways to make sure they don't get caught.

"We'll split the money down the middle,"

"Sounds good," Taehyung confirmed as he punched his fists into the air and breathed a sigh of relief- he was actually doing this and despite planning for a while, Taehyung couldn't quite believe it.

This was going to be life changing and Taehyung was going to kick diabetes in the ass for ruining the serenity he hoped to get out of life.

"There's just one more thing. This Friday, before I deploy, I'm meeting with the company for a dinner. We're going to have to act like. . ."

"Like we like each other?" Taehyung completed as he smirked at Jeongguk's bashfulness.

"Yeah more than that- we have to pretend to love each other. Um- the real catch is that all married couples spend the night at this motel near base camp. It's a tradition so. . ." Jeongguk trailed off.

"That's fine, we have to sell it after all," Taehyung stated, not particularly bothered by the prospect of staying with Jeongguk for a night. It wouldn't be that bad and the bed was probably more comfortable than what he usually has.

"So are we doing this?" Taehyung asked as Jeongguk scratched his neck, exhaling loudly.

"Yeah we're doing this,"

"But you have to promise me that you won't tell anybody that doesn't need to know," Jeongguk confirmed as he clasped his hands together on the table, interlocking his fingers.

"I promise," Taehyung stated as he nodded in affirmation.

"In fact I pinky swear." Taehyung said as a wide grin spread onto his face. The brunet held out his pinky finger in the middle of the table between and then gestured Jeongguk to shake it.

"No- I'm not doing that," Jeongguk stated blankly as he looked Taehyung dead in the eyes. The flirty man just wiggled his finger and eyebrows slightly, trying to convince the Marine to do a pinky promise. Jeongguk sighed as he glanced out the window and back again at the persuasive boy in front of him.

The ravenet looked back at the finger, bewildered, and sighed before begrudgingly taking ahold of the digit and shaking it slightly with a deep exhale.

"Looks like we're doing this," Taehyung commented as Jeongguk let go of Taehyung's finger as if it was burning him. The Marine was embarrassed to be engaging in such a childish thing but did it anyway to please his Royal Highness, Kim Taehyung.

"We're doing this," Jeongguk affirmed.

"Well it's great to have you partner," Taehyung spoke as Jeongguk rolled his eyes.

"Don't make me take it back,"
