Wait, wait,( panting) that's enough for today. Kwaku you know we're no longer kids and activities like this must be reduced. Gone are the days when we use to race with a bike, cloth tied around our waist, our two hands holding an end each. Those days were fun Abena, I wish we could be kids again. Now it's ludo, oware, video games and visiting tourist site. Do you remember when Auntie Afua use to tell us tales from their time? Ooh Abena, I miss the good old days. Hoping we can enjoy our old games from time to time.
Kwaku, it's getting late, let's head home. Hand in hand, they walked from the park to the house, bathed in sweat yet they walked like they were the only ones in the world, lost in their chats, they soon arrived in Abena's house. They hugged and Kwaku set of to his house.
Maame!!!! I'm back, please is there food for me, Abena queried while entering the hall. Maame emerged from the kitchen laughing, Abena and food, no no, she laughs hard again. Go have your seat, I'd serve you and Papa soon. Abena left to put the dining room in order waiting for Maame to appear with a tray so she goes to call Papa. Eating with Papa is fun, all the meat is yours unlike Maame who would hit your hand for just attempting to touch the meat. Soon enough, a tray came to view held by Maame whereas Abena head out to call Papa. Knocking on Papa's door, Abena said Papa today princess wants to dine with you and food has been served. Abena and Papa walk hand in hand to the dining room only to meet Maame smiling at them. They took their seats, Abena dished out the meal enough for two and served Maame separately. Papa sensing what's going on went with the flow, he said Abena, my one and only queen would you feed me today? Gladly, my King, at your service was Abena's response. Maame burst out laughing, this your shows doesn't affect me anymore. Papa asked Abena how her day went abd and she fave a detailed description. Papa and Maame smiled when she spoke of the goid old days. Maame asked Abena to invite Kwaku over tomorrow so they discuss about the good old days. They ate happily, after which Abena cleared the table and did the dishes. Papa and Maame planted a kiss on Abena's forehead as they exchanged good-night pleasantries. Abena smiled till she slept off dreamily.
