We just lost our game 12-3. I didn't even know you could score that high in hockey. I, Ellie Martin, scored all three.
Coach walked in seeing everyone sprawled out or sitting ready to stab someone.
"Aww, guys. I know it was rough out there, but not a total surprise right? I mean, we had a pretty good idea we probably weren't going to win today..."
"Wait, we didn't win?"
"What'd you think happened, Koob?" I asked.
"Oh, uh, I guess I spaced out or something. Oops?"
"It's okay," Coach said, "Just remember, you know, we didn't start this team to be the best. We started this team to have fun!"
Evan shifted to talk, "But the thing is, getting your ass kicked that bad, isn't fun at all."
He then stood up and left. "We have to get better," he said as he walked out the door.
"So much for having fun," Nick muttered.
