Chapter 1- Wake Up Call

As the sun dawns over a new day, the city illuminates as the glowing rays of the sun coat the land in light and warmth, and clouds fly over the dawning orange-yellow sky. The city slowly starts waking up, as you can hear the people greet each other from the street to the apartments all around the block. Cars are crossing by, people are walking down the streets, and doors are being opened to new customers. As the people of the ever growing SweetLick City rise for a new day, so does one girl in particular.

As the sound of an alarm clock is heard and stopped, a girl groggily gets up from her bed. Her nightgown is covered loosely by her robe and her hair tied in a messily made ponytail, as she walks from her bed to her window. The sun slowly shines from the open pane as she stares outside. Soon after a voice was heard.

"Shelsy! ¡Despierta es hora de desayunar!" her mom shouted. The crispy smell of bacon and yummy smell of eggs was quick to her senses.

"¡Estaré abajo en un minuto, mamá!" she shouted back, quickly rushing downstairs trying her best not to trip.

The kitchen was a warm welcome as it was but her mom was cooking rather early today.

"Why are you in such a hurry mom?" she asked confused.
" Good morning hija, I'm sorry about the early wake up. Turns out I'm starting early at work today."
The mother's hair was messily tied up and her work clothes were put on rather quickly. The girl sat down and scarfed up her breakfast like it was nothing.
"Where are my brothers? They're still not here." the girl asked confused. "Oh your father took them to the gym. They're starting early."
After quickly eating she quickly ran upstairs exclaiming: "Can I hang out with my friends today mom?" She replied: "Of course you can. Just be careful out there. if you need anything t-"
"Text you, I got it mom. I already know the drill."
She quickly ran upstairs and rushed to her room's closet. Readily picking out a black shirt and a plain white skirt. She slipped on some white loose stocking socks and put a pair of pink and white thick sneakers on. She covered herself with a hoodie with with a white base, but the sleeves, hood, and small pouch a light red pink. She tied her messy hair in a ponytail with her favorite white scrunchie, and reached for something. She had grabbed her AirPods, her sketchbook, a plush, and some other stuff in a pink and grey bag.


"CRAP ALMOST FORGOT MY GLASSES-"
She grabs her pair and quickly puts it on and runs out the room. Rushing for the door that leads outside she's only stopped by her mom. "Wait."

...
"....yes mom..?"
"You forgot your phone."
crap. so thats what I forgot.
"Love you mom."

"Love you too hija."
After a quick throw and catch, she was out the door.



She ran across the busy street, through crowds of people across the now yellow-blue cloudy sky. The sun shimmering in the edge of the sky, as clouds cover patches of the endless blue void. The city was colorful and vibrant, as people and species of all kinds were populating the busy area. In the sky and under the sea, through the subways and sidewalks. She ran with a bag in her hand across the street to a nearby corner inside a tiny mercado. Rushing in, she grabbed drinks of Monster, Water, Soda, Fruit Juice, and some other foods. She even bought some twizzly marshmallow candy. It was a quiet morning. It just opened today after all. Quickly paying, she left the mercado in a hurry, and heading down an alleyway near the mercado. Wasn't too terribly far from her place either. The alleyway was kinda dark. As cobwebs spread near the top, and boxes were left. Behind that mess of rubble was a was a door on a floor. Similar to an old metal trapdoor.


*STOMP STOMP STOMP*

She kicked on the metal door below, and noises were heard, as the door becomes unlocked and slowly opens a bit, as a face peeks out from the darkness.

"...whats the password.......??"

"There is no password."

".......come in."

The door creaks open as a hand peaks out, and she walks inside the dark tunnel. Soon a light blue peers from the dark, as fairy light strips cover the top ends of the stone walls. The hallways finally reach the end as she walks through. Inside was a humongous cave like space covered in decorations such as fairy/led lights, posters, bean bags, and all sorts of toys. Different areas seemed to be dedicated to different bubble sized rooms. Soon after, someone emerged from the shadows. A young lady is a sweater and overalls with flowing straight pink hair slowly walked into the light.

"Nice to see you're back!"
"I could say the same to you, Melody."

The pink haired girl named Melody ran up and hugged Shelsy rather fondly and it was a rather sweet moment.

"The others should be here any minute!" the pink haired girl happily expressed.
"Good, cuz for todays plans....."




"its something no one will wanna miss out on."
