Chapter 4- Breakfast and Rush

Its been a few minutes since the whole robbery chase and the gang are still trying to recover almost losing their leader. How fun. They decided to pull up to a nearby diner to try and relax and get some food while the arcade is still closed. The diner appeared to look like your standard flashy 1970's like diner, and it was fairly crowded for it being nearly 8 am.

They walked inside and saw the hostess nearby. Lem decided to take it from here.

"Oh hi there! How much today sugar?"

"A table for 9 please."

"9? Thats new! Yall are bunch of hungry lil- oh."

The woman notices Shelsy with blood on her hands as she tries to cover her nose from bleeding, as it drips down. She stares with a look of worry.

"Oh my- sweetie are you ok? You seem hurt."

"Huh? Oh this? Yeah I got into a bit of a mess earlier. Guess I forgot to clean myself up."

"Well the bathroom is over there if you wanna go clean up honey. Be careful next time sugar."

"Alr, thanks."

She then headed to the bathroom near the end of the bar and rush inside. It was somehow empty. She ran to a nearby sink and stared herself in the mirror. Her nose area still in messy splotches and her hands stained in red. She quickly cleaned herself off and washed her hands. She blankly looked at herself and took a deep breath.

"It's ok. You're fine. You still have a big day ahead of you, and everyone is fine. You cannot keep doing stuff like this. You worry them too much."


After that quick moment she rushed out the bathroom stuffing some paper towel in her nose to keep it from dripping. She scouted for her table and soon found Aiden waving from the distance. They all sat in a round booth which somehow sat the 8 of them. Shelsy slid in next to Aiden.

"Am I late or we still ordering?"

"No we actually just got our menus. I saved you one!"

"Thanks dude."

She ruffles his hair and he started getting flustered. As they all ordered it was business as usual. Lem was watching Nick and Md argue what they wanted to order like some kinda couple, Silvy and Melody were obsessing over fictional characters again, Honeybee and Aleto were arm wrestling, and Aiden was just kinda talked with Shelsy nervously like the lil boy he is. At last it seemed normal. This was more like it. Soon a young man came from the bar to take the gang's orders.

"Can I get your orders or do yall need some more time?"

"Oh no we're ready!" Aiden said.

Nick and Md decided on 2 Chocolate milkshakes and blueberry pancakes with french toast.
Silvy wanted Waffles and Toast with a strawberry milkshake.
Honeybee, Shelsy and Aleto asked for scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast.
Aiden asked for some waffles and sausages.
Melody asked for a breakfast croissant with eggs and bacon
And Lem asked for coffee with some french toast and hash browns.

"Alrighty, seems like we're getting a big order today. Anything else?"

"Nope!" Shelsy responded, satisfied."

The waiter then left and the group was then left alone. It was all usual chatting. Shelsy scrolled through Instagram liking a couple posts here and there as a way to keep her mind busy.

Aiden seemed rather fidgety as he was still flustered. Shelsy took quick notice.

"You're still red as a tomato dude? Was me ruffling your hair too much for you?"

".....no- I just didn't expect you to do that."

"Well i'm unexpected to do a lot of things. Get used to it."

Lem jokingly said: "When are you 2 gonna kiss istg."

"SJHBDUWYGDUWFCHWKUFHIUNFWJFNQ LEM-"
Shelsy couldn't help but bursting out in laughter over lem's comment. Plus it wasn't the first time a comment like this was made about the 2.

"Dont get your hopes up lem. Im not just gonna kiss him out of nowhere."

"Yet."

Aiden just lost it as his face turned red and he covered his head in his hands.
Shortly after that, food was soon served to the gang and they started eating that thing like it was their last meal. A while passed and the bill was handed out. Everyone's eyes got sidelined as they all just stared. No one was just gonna dump their wallets like that.

"Soooooo...... who's paying?" Honeybee asked not wanting to pay even a damn dime.

"I'll do it, since no one else will." Shelsy said with a sigh.

They all rushed out afterwards and just stood there.

"Its 9:10 alr- damn we ate for that long." Aleto remarked.
"wait."
"OH CRAP THE ARCADE OPENS IN 20 MINUTES I FORGOT"

With that sudden realization in mind everyone booked it to their wheels and tried finding the street to the arcade. But they were lost.

"I'll find it on my maps." Lem said while searching at a rapid pace.

"OK GOOD NEWS I FOUND IT"
"oh thank god. Shelsy said with a sigh of relief.
"Bad news is it's 35 minutes from here."
"WHAT. Isn't there a faster way??"
"It's the only fastest way.

Shelsy had to think fast. She didn't want tp make her friends late to a once in a lifetime experience. But then she saw a subway entrance nearby and got an idea.
"THE SUBWAY, ITS OPEN GO GO GO." She instructed them while rushing them downstairs. The place was crowded as usual. Honey read one of the subway maps and saw that one of them lead to the same street the Megacade was at.

"Yo! I found one that takes us there. Train C." Honey answered.


"THERE IS IS!" Md alerted.
They pushed through endless crowds and almost got each other lost until they finally got in an empty cart. The other was full of rushing people. They all caught their breath as they nearly missed the train.

"Ok, so that was close. Next time were taking the bus." Shelsy said, exhausted.

Just then her phone rang, it was her mom. She answered:

"Hi Mom."
"hola shelsy. ¿Está todo bien por allí?"
"Si mama. Me and my friends just got breakfast."
"Im heading to work to meet up with a new mom. Your dad is at his company."
"Ok mom. Me and my friends are just on the subway. We're just heading to an arcade for some fun."
"Sounds great, and remember, if you need someone to pick you up, lemme know."
"I think i'll be fine mom. Love you<3"
"Love you too hija. Bye."

And with that, the train started leaving the station. It was only a matter of time before they finally got to the arcade.


Lets just hope everything goes smoothly.
