Its been a few minutes on the subway as the track seemed to on and on, the lights illuminating the cart and the kids inside. Most seemed to be asleep, except for Shelsy, who was more focused on letting the group know when to leave. She was dozing off but was hesitant to stay alert. It felt like forever until the train finally stopped. Shelsy urged everyone to wake up, but Lem seemed dead asleep. He must have crashed from the caffine. Not wanting to leave him behind, she grabbed him by the shoulders and carried him out of the train.
"Wow he's a lot heavier than I thought- everyone here?"
Everyone seemed to be present. With that being said they exited the subway and saw a mall sized arcade nearby.
" Hey Look! Wasn't that the place you were talking bout Shels?" Aleto said.
"Yep. That's the place. Now we just need to- oh my god."
Turns out there was a long line that stretched from one street to another just to enter the arcade. It looked like people have camped all night just to enter.
"What the hell IS THIS?? WHY ARE THERE SO MANY PEOPLE???? Now we'll never get in." Melody said, defeated.
When hope seemed lost, Honey spotted something from the top. It looked like a stairway that lead downstairs. She soon had an idea.
"Wait a minute. What if I could get us up there? I mean I'm the only one that can fly. Half Bee over here."
"Yeah but how are you gonna carry all of us- There's 9 of us and only one of you. Plus I dont see any ladders tall enough to reach that thing." Md responded.
Silvy then had her attention caught by a construction site nearby. There was a crane pulling stuff into the building frame, and the building was taller than the acrade.
"Why dont we climb the building? It should be close enough for honey to drop us off."
"It could work, but how are we gonna get up there?" Aleto questions.
Just then, it seemed that workers were leaving the site for lunch, a perfect opportunity to sneak in. The gang snuck in one by one and started climbing the building. Except for Lem, he was still crashing. Shelsy repeatedly shook him trying to wake him up, but it was no use.
"Anyone got some caffine? I think Lem crashed again-"
"No time. I'll drag him up." Honey said, clutching onto Lem and flying to the top.
They kept climbing for what felt like forever, getting higher and higher with each grip. After several minutes of climbing, they reached the top. The arcade roof wasn't that far off, but no on would risk jumping.
"Alr, who's first after lem?"
"ME ME ME" Melody said eagerly.
"Im next ig." Md responded.
"Silvy, can I go with you this time? I'm kinda nervous." Nick asked.
"Of course!" Silvy responded happily. One by one each of the kids were dragged through the sky one by one to the other side. It was a steep drop, but Honey seemed confident in her ability to carry the team. After all that transporting, Honey was exhausted. But refused to rest. After opening the door all the way to the downstairs area, the group descends deeper and deeper, but then one trips, and then another, and another. And soon they all tumble downstairs until they reach the 3rd floor.
Glowing arcade games flashed from the room as games awaited to be played by kids and adults alike. It was an amazing sight. But what caught one's eye was the giant tube elevator nearby.
"Hey look, an elevator! Maybe this will take us down."Aleto rushed to the elevator but was stopped.
"Hold it A. Lem's still out cold. Reach into my backpack and grab some water.
Aleto grabbed her bag and retrieved a water bottle. Handing it to Shelsy, she poured some of the water onto her hand, and splashed it right in his face, giving Lem a wet, cold shock.
"HUH WHO TF DID THAT WH- oh."
"really. thats how you wake me up." Lem responded groggily.
"Look it was either this, or I shake your brains out."
"I would've preferred the shaking.""Welp too late for that. Now come on, we're taking the elevator."
They all boarded on and proceeded down to the first floor. As the elevator descended, many flashing lights and attractions were shown, arcade games like whack a mole and skee ball. The bright and pretty colors were enough to put anyone in a trance of color euphoria. It wasn't long before they reached the 1st Floor, where arcade games were ready to go, and the food court nearby had a wonderful smell of pizza and soda."woah."
"This place looks-"
"SO COOL!!!"
Shelsy proudly said: "Here we are boys, girls, and bees. The arcade of our dreams. And were right on time. Says here it opens in 3, 2-"Just then, the doors opened and they rushed to get their sign in. Pushing through the line, they say an employee ready to register them. They all got registered and received a token card, and were let free. FInally. It was time to play all the games they desired. They decided to scope out the prize shop to see what was available. There were your standard trinkets, candies, and plushes. But something on the very top shelf caught Shelsy's eye. Near the top was a perfectly new Nintendo Switch. Joycons and all.
"Guys. They're selling a switch here for tickets."
"THEY ARE??"
Soon all eyes were fixated on the switch at the top. It felt like it was calling their name, a quest that had to be finished, a prize that was so far, yet so close.
"Excuse me sir, how much does the Nintendo Switch up there cost?"
"oh that? 15,000 tickets kiddo.""15000??!?!?!!"
"yep. haven't seen a single kid got enough tickets yet. competitons real out there man."
"Well in that case, we're getting that switch!" Shelsy proudly exclaimed.
"Alright gang, we got a new objective. We need to get that switch. Once we hook it up to the tv in our hideout, we'll finally be able to play games!"
"Does this mean i get to beat md in mario kart:0?" Nick said.
"And kick these fool's ass in smash bros?" Honeybee questioned.
"Yes and more!" Shelsy exclaimed. "Now do whatever it takes! Whack every mole, Spin every wheel! Don't be afraid to get messy and get those tickets."
Cuz we're."
"Getting."
"That."
"SWITCH!"
