The Owl House Oneshots

1- Raeda

So if you didn't read the description, here's what's up. I have a list of ten TOH ships and twenty-four writing prompts entered into separate generators. I will pick, at random, one ship and prompt at the beginning of each chapter. Again, completely random, so some might be a bit out-of-character. But I'll make it work.

Also this will not really follow the storyline much, it's just some original non-storyline oneshots.

Ship: Raeda (Raine Whispers x Edalyn Clawthorne)

Prompt: "I almost lost you."

Raine's POV

"Lilith!" I shout, busting through the door of the Owl House. "We need help, now!"

I look down at the unconscious Eda in my arms, smiling slightly before remembering the gravity of the situation.

In a high-stakes attempt to capture Eda, the Emperor tried to trick her into 'meeting me at the castle' so we could talk. I wanted nothing to do with any of it, but the Emperor is not a merciful man. And if I made him mad, he might hurt Eda. And I can't have that.

But now it's too late now.

I plop Eda down on the couch in the living room as Lilith runs full-force down the stairs. "What happened?"

I roll my eyes. We don't have time for this! "Heal Eda now, ask questions later!"

Lilith reaches for a bottle of bright orange liquid and throws it at me. "Fine!"

"Ack!" I yelp, catching the bottle at the last second. "What do I do with this?!"

"It's Edalyn's elixir, to heal the curse. It'll help with whatever you aren't telling me about." Lilith replies coldly.

I nod and uncork the bottle, tilting Eda's head so the liquid goes down her throat without causing her to choke. I look back up and Lilith is gone, reappearing a moment later from the kitchen with another random potion.

She catches my eyes on her and explains quickly, "Healing potion."

"Ok." I mumble, looking around the house as Lilith helps her sister.

And that's when I spot a little demon with a skull over its face, watching us from its place on the stairs. I halfheartedly smile and wave, and the little demon runs over to me and in seconds has  knocked me over.

"What did you do to Eda?!" The demon shouts, jumping on me. "What did you do? Tell me! The King of Demons demands it!"

"N-nothing, I swear!" I shout, trying to fend the demon off. "I'm a friend! I'm Raine! Raine Whispers!"

The demon stops jumping up and down and instead sits on my chest and tilts its head. "Like the one in Eda's diary?"

I blush slightly. "W-what?"

"Yeah, it's you. Eda thinks you're really hot and smart and talented. But she'll kill me if she finds out I said that, so don't tell her." Then the demon gets really close and whispers menacingly, "The King of Demons will not tolerate betrayal."

I gulp and nod quickly.

The demon hops off of me and says, "I'm King."

I stand back up, brushing myself off, and start, "Well I guess you already know, but I'm-"

"Raine?" A hoarse voice behind me asks. I turn around and see Eda, sitting up and smiling at me.

Oh Titan, her smile. It makes her already beautiful face even prettier. Which shouldn't be possible, but anything's possible if you're Edalyn Clawthorne.

"Eda!" I shout with a smile, running over to my old friend and crushing her in a hug.

"Why are you in my house, Rainestorm?" Eda asks, pulling away to smirk at me.

"Honest answer? Belos tried to capture you and I guess I kinda... helped?" I squeak out.

"Helped him? Or helped me?"

"Both. Neither? I... it's hard to explain. But Eda..." I sigh and look at the ground in defeat. "I almost lost you.

I feel a hand on my shoulder and turn to see Eda smiling down at me sympathetically. "Raine, you will never lose me. I promise you."

"I already ruined our relationship, Eda!" I protest. "And helped Belos lure you to the castle! I mean, sure, he probably would've found a way to take his anger at me out on you, but..."

Eda rests a hand on my cheek and nudges my head closer. "You didn't ruin anything, Rainestorm."

I glance around the room and notice that Lilith and that little demon, King, are gone. My eyes fall back to Eda's, then drop down for a moment to rest on her lips.

"Raine, listen. I shoulda been more open about the curse. That was on me." Eda says confidently. She glances down at my lips quickly, then back up to my eyes. "But I wanna fix it."

"So do I." I respond, my voice barely above a whisper.

"Can I kiss you?"

I'm taken aback by the question. Eda wants to kiss me? Does she still... love me?

I surprise myself when I hear my voice respond, "Of course."

Eda grins and leans down, tilting my head up to meet hers. I raise my head and touch my lips to Eda's with a smile.

I've missed this. Missed being with her. Maybe we can be together again?

I pull away and look into Eda's eyes, my grin bigger than the Titan. "Eda, can I get a do-over?"

Eda smirks. "Of the kiss or dating me?"

"Dating you. But I suppose another kiss wouldn't be too bad." I respond.

"Yes to both, obviously."

"I love you, Eda."

"I love you too, Raine."
