Chapter 1 - Veronica meets the team

Veronica was sitting on Laura's knee, crying because Clint wasn't there. She ended up crying herself to sleep, and Laura laid her on the couch. While she was sleeping, Clint came home, "Laura, I'm home, kids." Laura came in from the living room, hugging Clint said, "Veronica fell asleep on the couch." Clint nodded, and told her they had company. Laura said hi, then Lila, Nathaniel, and Cooper came running. Picking up Nathaniel, he hugged Lila, and Cooper, then "mamma," Laura heard Veronica, she went into the living room, and picked up Veronica. Bringing her into the kitchen, she handed Veronica over to Clint, who held Veronica. Then she saw Nat, and smiled, Nat took her from Clint, and Veronica asked, "are you staying for good?" Nat said they were staying for a little while, and then Veronica sneezed. Clint took her from Nat, and Laura told him she was coming down with a cold. Then Laura sat Nathaniel and Roni down to eat dinner as it was almost their bedtime. Roni insisted she stayed up with Clint, but Laura told her she had to go to bed. Roni used every excuse there is, but Laura still said no. "But I'm sick," "no Veronica, it's your bedtime." Clint told Laura he'll deal with Roni, and he took her hand, and led her to the couch. Roni was sniffling a lot, so he wiped her nose, gave her cold medicine, and sent her to bed. "Daddy, I'm not tired," Clint knew she was wanting to stay with him, "I'm not going anywhere." He took her hand, and led her to bed, after tucking her in, rejoined the team downstairs. The next morning, Roni wakes up at 2 am, Sniffling, sneezing, and crying. Clint comes in, and gets her out of bed, he feels her head, she feels warm. He takes her tempature, and she has a fever, he gives her medicine to help her fever, and takes her to his room, and lays her on the couch. Roni fell back asleep, and in he morning, at 8:00, she woke up, and Clint had told Laura that she had a fever. When Laura saw Roni awake on the couch, she went, and felt Roni's head. Roni still felt warm, so Laura took her tempature again, it was not as high, but still high. Then when Clint took her downstairs, the team is awake, and Clint introduced all the kids to the team. Roni was clingy to Clint, and he allowed it since she was sick, and he was staying. Then Laura made breakfast for everyone, and Roni didn't eat a whole lot. Clint, and Laura were worried, and Laura made a doctors appointment for her. Later on Clint helped Laura get Roni ready for the doctor, however Roni was not too happy. "Auntie Nat come," Roni kept saying over, and over, Nat gave in, and got ready to go. When they got to the doctors office, Roni had fallen asleep, so Nat carried her in. While Laura signed Roni in, Nat sat with her on a chair. Laura joined them, and then the doctor called them back for vitals. Laura had to wake Roni up, which made Roni upset. Roni started screaming, and crying, Laura was glad that Nat was there to help. After Vitals Roni calmed down, Laura wiped Roni's nose, Then the doctor called Roni back, Laura, and Nat took Roni back. Roni was fine until the doctor, brought out the needles. Roni started crying, and Laura held her, but Roni kept reaching for Nat. Nat took her, and Roni was still crying, after the needles Laura wiped Roni's nose again. On the way home Roni fell asleep, at home Nat told Clint how things went, while Laura brought in Roni from the car.
