It was a typical day in Kings County, hot, sunny, and peaceful, aside from the police sirens. School had just been let out, and within the herd of people, two teens walked home together, shit talking their teachers, assignments, and peers. The boy and the girl had always been inseparable, but for the past month even more so, ever since the girl's dad, a cop, got shot in the line of duty and was put into a coma. The father had been trying to stop some thieves from getting away, with the help of his partner they took out the car. Unfortunately, one of the thieves had a gun and opened fire, injuring the father. He was rushed to the hospital and survived, though he had not yet woken up. The fathers partner felt horrible, and started helping around at the girl's house, taking care of her mother and younger brother, though it was a blessing, the girl was left for herself. Thankfully her best friend, the boy, stepped up. Made sure she ate, got schoolwork done, and more importantly, made sure she knew she was loved. They spent all their time together, some nights the boy slept over on the couch or the floor. She was beginning to feel happy and safe again. But when the girl and her friend got home, everything had changed. The partner said that they needed to go, it wasn't safe. She refused to leave without her friend, and he refused to let her go without him, so with them he went. You see, these just aren't any random people, they're smart, cunning, survivalists, willing to do anything. This isn't any random story either. I suppose it is time for a proper introduction. The partner, his name is Shane Walsh, a real survivalist. The father aka cop, he's Rick Grimes, a stone-cold badass motherfucker who you don't want to fuck with. The mother, her name is Lori, she can't cook pancakes for shit, but she loves her children. The brother, who is barely twelve years old, his name is Carl, he is the sweetest boy you will ever meet, which often people underestimate him, giving him an advantage, he will make it out of this world. The best friend, Jackson Myers, he too is a sweetheart, but if you get on his bad side, he will tear you limb from limb and won't stop until he deems justice has been served, which if you hurt his best friend, may just be never. That leaves us to the one we haven't talked about yet, the girl, someone who isn't a fighter, but a lover, yet will rise to the occasion. She is many things, a true leader, caring, fair, and just, and as well as those things, she is also you.
