Fanfiction Headcannons Book 3: Ninjago

High School AU

Authors Note: Hi. This AU idea is something that popped into my head while I was watching A.X.L on Netflix. I will try to make this as detailed as possible, but if I screw up, please let me know so I can fix it. 

Background Info: Jay was adopted by Ed and Edna when he was only a few weeks old, and he had an envelope with him that had his birth certificate and a letter for him for when he turned 15. On Jay's 15th birthday, Ed and Edna gave him the letter, and he met his real parents, and they explained to him why they abandoned him when they did. He understood and now lives with his biological parents, but still visits Ed and Edna often. He never told anybody that his dad is one of the most famous actors and movie stars, so he could avoid being treated like a royal. He did enjoy building things, and eventually came up with A.X.L., a mechanical dog that would be used for warfare in the future. He build many of them, and they served as his bodyguards when he was off of his parent's grounds. They would stay in the shadows, and if anybody were to attack him, they would come to his rescue. They would only attack if Jay used a special ultra-sensory whistle that only the A.X.L.s could hear. He was bullied at school by the 'popular group', which consisted of Cole, Kai, Morro, Griffin, Chen, and a few cheerleader girls, but it was mostly the guys who bullied him. 

One day, Jay had had enough. 

Present Day, Jay's POV

I knew my dogs were lurking in the shadows of the school, ready to pounce if needed. I have a plan in mind, and I knew that it would happen during lunch today. 

I headed out to the large seating/grass area that most of the high schoolers went to for lunch, and it was a nice day out today so there were a few extra people. I was known as one of the 'nerds' of the school, since I didn't interact with many people and I mostly spent my time in the engineering lab. I took my seat in my normal spot, when I was grabbed by the back of my shirt and ripped out of my seat by nobody other than Cole. 

He and his posse bullied me often, and I put up with it, until today.

Narrator POV

Jay was thrown from his seat by Cole, which caught the attention of a few people. 

"Hey Jay, didn't I tell you that you aren't allowed to seat on any of these tables." jeered Cole. 

Jay didn't respond to him, which made Cole mad. 

"You reply to me when I speak to you nerd." Cole picked up Jay by his shirt collar and said, "Got that?"

Jay still gave Cole the silent treatment, but then Cole flung him a few more feet into a tree that was nearby. This caused more people to become curious to what was going on. 

Jay still said nothing, but reached into his pocket and pulled out a whistle. It was like a dog whistle, but was all black with blue decals on it. 

"Heh, what are you doing to do with that? Gag yourself with it?" Cole sneers at Jay, and his friends laugh at his joke. 

Jay blows the whistle, but no sound came out. 

"Seems like your whistle is defective Jay." Cole says to him with a smirk on his face. Soon, he feels like he is being watched. 

The unsettling kind. 

Soon, a large mechanical dog leaps from the building, and approaches Cole with red eyes. Soon, he and his gang is surrounded by six mechanical dogs, each with its own color decals. One red, one white, one black, one dark green, one light green, and one teal. There was a seventh one next to Jay with royal blue decals that handed him something. Jay puts it on, and stands up. Cole now has a clear view on what the dog gave Jay. 

A necklace with the Gordon family crest on it.

Jay was the son of Cliff Gordon, a famous actor who was popular among their generation. 

"Blue." 

The blue dog looks up at Jay, awaiting instructions. 

"Bring the raven-haired boy to me." 

The blue dog approaches the group, and the others let him pass. The dog looks at Cole, and suddenly grabs his ankle, dragging him back to his master. Cole starts to shout for help, but the other dogs keep everyone at bay. Cole is dragged to Jay, Blue keeping him held down. Jay gets on one knee and grabs Cole's chin with his right hand. He whispers something into his ear before he stands up and whistles for something.

A motorcycle goes to Jay and gets on. He lets out another whistle and all of the dogs look at him. He revvs his cycle and drives off with all of the dogs following him in a 'v' formation with Blue right in front of Jay. They drive off and Blue arches his back to create a ramp for Jay to jump the 8 foot fence that blocks off the grassy area from the street. All of the dogs jump over the fence with ease and follow Jay. 

Everyone is still stunned at what happened.

Kai is the first to move to a still paralyzed Cole. 

"Dude, what happened? What did he tell you?" he asks.

Cole responds with, "' Next time, you'll be left with more than a sore ankle.' That's what he said."

Now everybody knew:

Don't mess with Jay Gordon.

JEEZ THAT WAS A LOT!

I think this is my longest one yet, but I love it. I thought that Jay being a master mechanic, would be able to construct something like this. 

Btw, there is a hidden code in the story that links the A.X.Ls together.
