The Library

The entity

The  older kid from before that read the book came up to me from the back of the small crowd of the pre-teens,
"Is it entities?"

I nodded while I spoke, "I need you to just stay calm, please."

The lights turned off and soon after lavender fog flew around the room after the fog settled it began to glow allowing everyone to see, this was one of the great abilities of Boss's signature until it forms.

The low light glew up the surrounding area as the fog but when it formed it would just be the scythe that could glow, I heard Boss's heels clacking on the floor as he walked around counting all children where there,

"I thought I paid for this library to be cleaned out earlier today? There should be no entities here tonight!" Boss claimed, he was definitely annoyed.

I shrugged as I looked back as Boss was making his way over to a bookshelf in the employee's only area also known as the restricted area. We have had to do this multiple times in the library but only when no one else was here besides us or other adults who know how to deal with these entities.

Soon I realized I couldn't see where boss had gone. I walked over to our employee's only area but nothing. I spun around only to find him on the bookshelf, I was too stunned to say anything, I was proud but stunned, usually I had to go up there to get any books.

"Good Job!" I called out as he started descending.

" I've been working on combining my soul training at the same time as my body's training!" Boss claimed with a proud grin, "It works wonders!"

I smiled as he handed me the manuals and a book, I jumped back slightly when I saw the book was a spell book.

"OH," I ended up shouting, after lowering my tone and clearing my throat I continued, " What is this for?"

Boss spoke, "It's for the kids, it's a soul spell, it will protect them from entities for about an hour, we'll be done by then!"

I nodded as I grabbed the book out of his hands and began carrying it over to the kids, by now the mist was beginning to form into his scythe, all the lavender mist began gathering around him and swirling around his right hand, as that happened I walked over to the kids and presented the ones awake with the book, I sat by them as I waited for boss to walk over with his scythe in hand.

Soon after he walked over with our only source of light he opened it and began flipping through the pages,

"There," he muttered proudly as the book opened to a page that glowed, "here you go! Just say these words when something comes running at all of you and you'll be safe! And all of you stay right here please!"

All the kids that were awake looked scared as they didn't even know how to deal with entities they learn that in 9th grade, but they nodded their heads in unison.

Boss and I where going through the library's corridors waiting for any seekers to show up, we didn't see anything, we felt their energy maybe just one or two though, nothing big, I sighed,

"There isn't anything here Boss!"

"Oh there is no need to complain Valeri!" Boss scolded me.

I jokingly mocked him and we both laughed, suddenly I felt something appear behind us and we both immediately swung back around with our weapons at the ready, a tall entity, about 11 ft tall bending down to stare us both in the eyes.
"Ew."
"VALERI!" Boss yelled, "DON'T BE RUDE."
" WELL"
Boss patted the wanderer's head and told it I didn't mean that, I did. I looked away and grumbled, I thought I was gonna get to fight something but nope just a dumb wanderer.

I grabbed a book off the shelf, it was the Grimm's brothers books of fairytales, This was my mothers favorite book. She read them to me when I was younger but I don't really remember any of the stories in it, all I remember is it was a book that had all of the stories in it.
After Boss was done babying the entity we began walking again. Then about 10 minutes later it was just a loud blood curdling scream it was near where the kids were staying.
