Chapter 3: In My Funeral

Third Person's POV

-Next Day-

Randy woke up from his new and soft single bed, which was better than his older habit of sleeping on floor like used to do in his past Eevee life.

"This is the best time of my life, my old life was just a joke. I'm sure sir Theos enjoyed his life much. But now I'm Theos.... Wait" he remember today's occasion for which he wasn't  ready.

"My own funeral right? Never thought I'm able to do this" he sighed a little and went to the shower for getting fresh.

"The better thing is only one that I'll be able to see people's reaction whether they liked me or not" he thought, and headed towards his work.

After doing his work he opened the main door, as Alaricus's face popped us.

"Why he's being my lapdog?" Randy thought, while grinning and watching his face.
Alaricus came here to pick him up to the funeral.

"You came here after a long time, so I thought you could get any difficulty in finding the graveyard. I'll lead you to the place" Randy watched his face, and just nodded.

Randy's POV

We were walking in the way to the graveyard, which was familiar to me. When I was an Eevee, I wandered the whole town so I know every place here.
Suddenly, a question came in my mind.

"Well, some residents told me that crowd attack a Flareon too last day. What happened to him?"

"Oh? I remember. He was trying to save his friend, but he fainted in our few attacks because of number game.
He's alright, even we'll see him at funeral" he answered.
I need to meet my friend, I've to watch his reaction after watching me in this state.

-At Funeral-

"Here we go" we came, as I saw many Pokémon than expected. But It looked like many of the Pokémon are not that sad about my death.

"He betrayed the city, so he deserves that death" an adult looking Combusken told his younger brother who is a Torchic.
I just calmly listen them, controlling myself.

"Well, Well, Well" Alaricus clapped his claws, stealing the attention.

"So, the sir Theos is here for the funeral. So we'll begin this ceremony I-I mean funeral"

I watched him a bit angrily as he tried to change the topic.

"Well, we should pray to God for his next life, otherwise his soul may haunt the forest"

"I'm in front you and will make your soul haunt the forest"

"We just gave punishment for his deeds. He's not supposed to haunt us ever again. Alaricus, do Theos know way to get salvation?" Combusken asked, almost trembling me.
I don't know sir Theos ever did this things in his living life, but I-I don't know how to do it.

"We're in a funeral, so we should attend this first. Don't be so mean" Alaricus warned him with his sharp claws.

There was only two people who were crying. My best friend Ricky and Fiona.
I went at them.
They were at bench which was located in the corner. Nobody was paying attention to them.

"Do you really care for him? He's innocent for you right?"

"Y-Yes sir, he was my best friend. I'm sure he didn't kill him. But this town..." Rick sobbed, crying for me.

"He was really a great Eevee. I wanted to be his friend forever. I'm sure he'll be at a better place where he is now" she cried, I patted her head giving a relief.

"You wish it? The same will happen don't worry" I grinned towards the both, it relieves me too that at least someone cares for me.

"Well well well, in old myth it has been said that soul of dead person keeps an eye for next 2 days then it's travel for next life begins. So make it good, let's pray for it" Alaricus did the next thing of funeral.

"Me myself is present here so need of a 'soul'"

Fiona's POV

"He isn't that weird how I thought" I thought, he was a little gentle with us.

Suddenly, the next process came to the start.

"Now we'll bury this coffin in the land. We wish that Randy will have a better future ahead" Alaricus stated, as the Pokémon with black dresses on them started keeping the empty coffin in the hole of land.

"Unfortunately, we can't find his body in the town's forest so we're going to keep this empty coffin in his memory"

It made me a little sad.

-Time Skip-

"I'm really sorry that I wasn't able to save you" I started tearing in front of his grave, watching at the jesus cross named Randy.

I saw another tears, but they weren't mine. When I watched near me, there was....
Sir Theos?

He was much close to me than my safe zone, but still I feel familiar aura around me.

"Can we maintain a little distance?" I asked.

"Y-Yeah sure" he said and went a little back.
That was a little weird that he's being such emotional for death of someone who's unfamiliar to him.

Randy's POV

"Well, the process are done now. So you can go to your home" Alaricus concluded.

I teared a little in anger of some bad people here. I realised that nobody except my two friends likes me.
But my next step is to reign this town as Sir Theos.

Suddenly, Ricky came towards me. Maybe he'll introduce himself to me?

"Well, I heard that you know path of salvation. Where it is?" Rick asked, almost blanking me.
Another story rumour about me.

"Not yet, salvation isn't for every Pokémon. There must be a chosen Pokémon for it. And there is one who deserves it" I answered, and I had a target on someone.

-Time Skip-

"Well, what a kind of Pokémon that Eevee was?" I caught him out of the graveyard where most of the people were gone.

"Are you talking about the Eevee? He thought after killing that innocent Pokémon he'll escape easily but we didn't let him do that" the Combusken said making me more angry.

"Well what's your name?"

"Dave" he said with his fiery passion.

"Nice name! Well, I saw that passion in you. You looked a better guy since when I see you here" I said, as he was really happy. But what about keeping some more restrictions on it?

"That isn't going to be that easy. You still are noob in this. If you work hard then I'll think about it"

"I'm ready to do it sir. I'm the chosen one hooh ray!" He celebrated, but his celebration isn't that simple.

"Well, your training will take place tomorrow. If you passed that training test. I'll show you the holy path of salvation" I simply grinned towards him. He was extremely happy at the moment. That's better for me.

-At the lake-

This is the same place where I turned into a shiny Umbreon. So I can say this is the place when I saw myself the first time.
I watched in my reflection in the lake.

"Today, I saw the real personality of the people. They're too dirty. Nobody even cared that whether I really did it or not. They're just....Uh" I gave a soft sigh and did a promise to myself.

"I'll also show what can I give if you think me your God Figure now"
