OFF THE STREETS
SATURDAY
Katsuki sighed as he splashed cold water on his face. He still wasn't used to being completely shaved; having no beard was certainly weird to him. He looked down, wiping off the water with a towel, before walking out of the room. His smile grew to the sight of a certain figure, standing in the hallway. It was a person, clearly - Crouched in the middle of the hall as he laughed hysterically. Bakugou rolled his eyes as Kirishima's childish behavior, walking up towards the red-haired male who also stood up properly.
"Looking sharp, man!" Eijirou cheered, seeing his blonde friend wearing his clothes. Today was the day they were going shopping, but since Bakugou didn't have anything to wear, the red-haired boy had decided to lend him some proper clothes of his.
In the past few days, Katsuki had spent a lot of time getting to know his new friend. He had learned that Kirishima had been stayed at the shelter for quite a while now and had spent several years living on the streets with his sister. Unfortunately, she had been a victim of sexual assault while protecting her sibling from what seemed like a dangerous man. Years later, she committed suicide, leaving her little brother to survive on his own. That's when Eijirou resulted to living at a homeless shelter. He spent days mourning her death but managed to live happily with the friends he had made at his new home.
"Thanks, for passing me these." The blonde scoffed, making his way down the hall with the other. They entered the living room, where others were sitting and chatting. Katsuki recognized some of them, from previous encounters. Ochako Uraraka, the host's best friend. Denki Kaminari and Hanta Sero, two of Eijirou's closest friends. There were also several other people that he hadn't had the chance to speak to yet, such as Mina Ashido, Tsuyu Asui, Tenya Iida, Shoto Todoroki and Kyoka Jiro.
"Ah- Alright! Everyone ready to go?" Izuku suddenly cheered, stepping towards the entrance. Everyone nodded and agreed, walking out into the sidewalk. The store wasn't too far from where they were, which meant they all walked. Bakugou's feet had healed from the blisters and scars, so he was good to go. The group chattered, walking side by side as they made their way down the sidewalk.
Katsuki walked alone, since Eijirou had went off to speak with Kaminari. He looked over to Izuku, walking beside him. Technically, he wasn't alone. He had Midoriya with him. Although they didn't speak. He wanted to somewhat thank the small male for letting him in but wasn't sure how to.
"So- Do you have any idea on what you want to buy?" Izuku suddenly asking, making the blonde flinch. He looked over to big emerald eyes, unsure of what to reply with.
"I don't know." He shrugged, looking down to the shoes Kirishima had lent him.
"I see, that's okay! We'll have plenty of time to browse. I'm sure you'll find some clothes that you'd like." Midoriya spoke. Katsuki looked over to the small boy, spotting his large smile. It somewhat illuminated his freckles, adding to his personality. The blonde's eyes trailed off to green curls, gently bouncing at every step he'd take. He and Izuku had went out to get a few bedroom decorations, a few days prior. They had painted his bedroom a dark shade of grey and hung-up dark curtains next to his window. They had also bought a shelf and a nice rug to set next to his bed.
"We're allowed to choose only two pieces, right?" The blonde muttered, earning a gentle hum from the other.
"Yep! But since you're new, you get double. Four items, alright? But don't tell anyone." Izuku chuckled, whispering the last part. Katsuki smiled, nodding. He and Izuku continued to chat as they approached the mall, eventually reaching their destination. Everybody scattered, knowing where they wanted to go. Everybody had received a small walkie-talking, to keep in contact. Of course, Midoriya explained the rules to Bakugou, telling him he had two hours to shop. Izuku had given out several walkie-talkies for them to keep in contact, which means Katsuki had one as well. Before he knew it, he was left alone to shop. He wasn't too familiar with stores but managed to find a nice shop filled with proper clothing. Within thirty minutes, he had found a T-Shirt he had really liked, as well as a comfortable pair of joggings. He had also found a sweater and a pair of jeans. Usually, he'd buy some undergarments first. But Midoriya had already taken care of that, when they had gone shopping a few days prior.
The blonde glanced around the store once again, before looking down to his walkie-talkie. He examined it, finally finding a certain button. He pressed on it, but immediately released it. He wasn't sure what to say. What if Izuku was busy, right now? The tall male frowned, sighing as he hesitated to speak again. Only, before he could even press the button again, the sound of the greenette's voice resonated through the small speaker. The blonde flinched, shocked by the perfect timing.
"Katsuki! Can you hear me?" Izuku spoke. Bakugou fiddled for a moment before pressing the button.
"Yeah." He muttered.
"Great! Where are you? Are you all done shopping?" The greenette's voice exclaimed. Bakugou smiled.
"Yeah. I'm done. I'm standing... I don't know the name of this store. But I see a Boba Shop, in front of it." The blonde spoke, embarrassed by his stupidity.
"Oh, alright! I'm coming your way! Don't move." Midoriya giggled. Katsuki cracked another smile, looking out into the halls of the building. Multiple people went by, chattering as they dispersed into different stores. He waited for a few more minutes, until a familiar green-haired man appeared through the doorway. Izuku beamed a smile, instantly paying for Katsuki's desired items. They then made their way back into the mall, joining up with the others. Bakugou remained silent as his new friends finishes their business, smiling at some of their purchases. Kirishima had fallen in love with a black beanie, with a shark print on it. Ashido had decided to get a cute skirt, which put her curves into display. The others all got themselves casual clothing items, all happy by the time they left.
Within the blink of an eye, the group had already returned to their home, where Izuku instantly began preparing their meals. Katsuki decided to go to his room, trying on his new clothes while he waited for lunch. He felt comfortable in this building. He had made many friends and had even made himself a crush. Izuku Midoriya was definitely the most special of them all. The only one who actually seemed to listen, understand and accept him. Izuku Midoriya was his favorite person in the entire world. The only person he was fully comfortable around. Sure, he got nervous every time he'd interact with the greenette. But he also felt very warm and happy whenever they'd speak.
Bakugou sighed as he sat on the edge of his bed. He smiled, tugging gently on the sleeves of his new hoodie. He had only known Izuku for a short while, yet he felt flutters in his chest at the mere thought of him. He felt like a sixteen-year-old girl, having her very first crush. Only, he was an adult, and madly in love with the one person who dared to give him a home and warm meals.
"Fuck-" The blonde cursed under his breath, fighting the urge to smile wider. Midoriya was the only thing clouding his mind. He wasn't sure how to get rid of these thoughts, but he somewhat didn't want to.
It might be too soon, but he's sure. He's fallen head-over-heels for Izuku Midoriya.
