OFF THE STREETS
STORM
Izuku sighed shakily, entering the building after hanging up wooden planks on every window. It had already started snowing; about a foot of snow covering the city. He hung up his scarf, jacket and mittens, making his way into the living room where his friends were seated. A fire had been built in the fireplace, everybody surrounding around it for warmth.
"Ah, it's all done. Now, we just have to wait." Midoriya spoke, sitting down next to a purple-haired girl. He wrapped himself up in a cozy blanket, leaning against a chair as he remained seated on the floor. His mind slowly began to wander off to his beloved friend who had gone missing a couple of days prior. He wasn't sure if Katsuki was safe or had anywhere to hide from the upcoming hail. All streets were full of snow, no cars able to pass. He worried Bakugou might have gotten hurt, somewhere in the cold city, or might be struggling.
Izuku flinched to the sound of loud knocks, occurring throughout the building. This was it; the hail was starting. He couldn't hide a frown, tears welling in his eyes to the thought of his lost friend. The man he loved was somewhere out there, most likely in danger from this deadly storm. He listened to his friends' breathings, some of the chattering quietly between each other.
"Relax, Midoriya. I'm sure Bakugou's somewhere safe. He's smart enough to have taken cover by now. Besides, this storm was broadcasted throughout the entire city. He's sure to have heard from it early enough to have taken shelter somewhere." Eijirou mumbled, scooting closer to the freckled male. Izuku shook his head. Everyone seemed to think the blonde was intelligent enough to have taken cover, when only he knew he was dumb enough to have risked it. That's how Bakugou was. He would never learn his lesson and would only think of himself. He'd always fight to get what he wants, making sure it's good for him.
But sometimes, Katsuki was bound to make mistakes. Like that time, when they were kids. The time where Izuku offered him a pair of mittens that he still kept to this day, and the blonde had rejected them. The only time they had actually spoken to each other and had resulted in being nothing but a waste of time. Yet, Midoriya had always cherished that moment. His encounter with young Katsuki was the reason he had opened a homeless shelter; in hopes of helping those in need. He never thought of running into the blonde several years later, though.
A loud booming noise was heard throughout the building as everything became black. Sudden chattering became a bit panicked as Izuku stood up, wiping a tear.
"It's fine, everyone. The power just went out." He spoke, looking over to the fire that kept the living room clear. Midoriya opened his cell phone, checking his battery percentage before turning on his flashlight. He made his way to the kitchen, grabbing a few lighters and candles to scatter them around the building, in hopes of bringing some light into their home. He quietly lit up a few sticks, placing them around the kitchen. He then made his way back into the Livingroom, putting one on the table before heading into the hall. He left a few next to the front door, and next to every bedroom door. He put one in the bathrooms too but didn't mind putting any in the basement.
Loud knocking noises kept resonating everywhere, indicating that the hail was continuing. It was a good thing Izuku took precautions; hanging up wooden planks outside their windows to keep them from breaking. The loud bangs continued, only a few sounded different. Izuku's ears perked up to three repetitive knocks, sounding louder than the usual hail balls. He listened once more, three more knocks happening in the same pattern as earlier. Midoriya's heart skipped a beat as he approached the hallway, eyes landing on the locked front door. He approached it, unlocking it as he hesitated to swing it open. He wasn't sure if someone was knocking at the door, or if it was hail. He listened closely, trying to figure out if someone was asking to come inside. He eventually grabbed onto a lit candle, peeking outside as he opened the door. He flinched as the sight of multiple ice balls and snow hitting the door, nearly coming inside the building. Only, that didn't matter.
Midoriya panicked as he swung the door open, a hail ball hitting his shoulder harshly. It should have hurt, but that wasn't the case. His mind was too fogged by the sight of an exhausted, cold blonde standing in front of him. Katsuki seemed to be struggling to keep a hold of the metal plank, placed over his head for shelter as the winds nearly made him stumble.
"Kacchan!" Midoriya screamed, pulling him inside. Some snow came in as well, but it didn't bother the freckled male at all. He forced the blonde to kick off his shoes and tumble down the hall, placing the metal plank aside as he sat him down at the edge of the living room. Suddenly, everyone gave the frozen boy some attention, cheering over his arrival. Meanwhile, Izuku leaped at the kitchen, searching the cupboards for anything he could give his friend without using any electricity. He eventually pulled out a pack of crackers, opening the fridge to pull out some ham and cheese. He wasn't sure what to give the frozen blonde in a time like this. He'd usually serve some warm soup, but since he didn't have any electricity, he was unable to do so. Therefore, crackers, ham and cheese had to do for now. The greenette quickly sliced the food, dropping it into a bowl and bringing it to the dull-eyed blonde.
Bakugou gladly took it, taking a bite from a cracker. He looked up to an angry looking greenette who stared at him with small fire erupting in his eyes. Izuku clutched his fists, slamming the bowl to the ground. He suddenly regretted giving this blonde any food whatsoever. Bakugou had ran off without a word, causing him days of pain and worry. Now, he arrives and expects to be welcomed?
The freckled male gritted his teeth, knowing his friends stared at him in shock, just like Katsuki. But that didn't hold him back from swinging his fist, hitting against a frozen jaw. Bakugou tumbled backward, falling to his side. He looked up to a tear-stained face, shocked by the sudden hit.
"HOW DARE YOU?" Midoriya yelled, pushing aside some food with his foot. He walked closer to the blonde, leaning down and sitting on top of his chest. His hands grabbed onto Katsuki's collar, slamming him against the floor repeatedly as he cried out some more. "HOW DARE YOU? YOU FUCKING LEFT ALL OF A SUDDEN, THEN COME BACK IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS FUCKING STORM? WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU, HUH? YOU ASSHOLE! YOU FUCKING BITCH! I HATE YOU! GO TO FUCKING HELL! YOU HAD ME WORRIED FOR THREE WHOLE DAYS! THREE WHOLE FUCKING DAYS! I THOUGHT MONOMA COULD HAVE HURT YOU OR SOMETHING! YOU JERK! YOU COMPLETE FUCKING ASSHOLE!" Izuku cried, his arms weakening from the amount of relief he was feeling. He looked up to a wide-eyed blonde, tears falling down onto Bakugou's shirt.
"You complete fucking... Handsome asshole." Izuku whispered in a sob, letting himself collapse onto his friend. He connected their lips, pressing themselves into a kiss. It took several seconds before Midoriya pulled away with a gasp, resting his head on the blonde's shoulder as they continued to lay flat on the ground.
Quiet giggles and whispers were heard from their friends, who, one by one disappeared from the room. Eijirou was the last one to leave, wishing goodnight to the two as he dropped a blanket on them. Of course, Kirishima would have wanted to talk to his friend a bit more, but Izuku and him somewhat deserved this moment. Therefore, Katsuki and Izuku stayed stuck together, in complete silence. Bakugou eventually shifted, hoping to get the greenette off him. But it seemed the freckled male had fallen asleep from complete exhaustion.
"You idiot. I was supposed to be the one with the big entrance, kissing you until you melt. Just wait for tomorrow." Katsuki mumbled, shifting their position so they'd be more comfortable. He pulled the small male into his arms, holding him close as he listened to his shallow breaths, slowly turning into snores. With that, Katsuki fell asleep, hoping he'd wake up to another kiss.
