Kimberly POV

I woke up sitting up in my bed, my head pounding with pain. I wince a little and got up to go to the bathroom. I sighed thinking that I was going to have to face August sooner or later. I washed my face since I didn't get a chance to do it last night.

I slowly walked in the hallway not really wanting to face the world at the moment, I just wanted to go back to sleep; but my mom always told me 'address your problems and deal with them head on' and that's what I was about to do. I did kinda break this rule last night when I decide to get drunk not remember anything before getting home.

I was on the last step when I heard August accent come from the living room and I also heard the same accent but in a higher-pitched way.

"Ma, I ain't do nothing." I heard August say to Ms.Shelia, and heard him breathe loudly.

"August, take them damn shades off." Then there was a pause. "Now I know I'm not around Kimberly like that but I know her and she ain't just gone say these words that your telling me for no reason. You did something to her August whatever it is you need to find out and address as soon as possible. Do you understand?" Ms.Shelia said.

"Yes ma." I peeked down the stairs and saw him leaning on the island that's in the middle of the kitchen.

"Well I gotta go son, I gotta go pick Kay Kay up from dance. She was asking about you and Kimberly all of them were actually." She said and I saw her put a kiss to his head.

"I'll have to get them and hang out but now I really need to focus on how I can fix this with Kimberly." I stayed on the stairs for a little while longer until I finally walked into the kitchen.

I didn't say anything, wanting him to bring it up if he needed to. It was silent for while until I heard the chair scrape against the floor.

"We need to talk." August said, and I turned around looking back towards him. Maybe I should just act dumb.

"About what?" I asked leaning back on the counter crossing my arms.

"Don't do that. You know exactly what I'm talking about." August said looking at me in a irritated way.

"I don't know what you want me to say August, I really don't." I said looking at my nails, this conversation seemed to not being going anywhere.

"Well you could start off my saying sorry-" He started but my eyes cut him off quick, no this nigga did not just say I needed to start apologizing. I'm not doing this today, or tomorrow, or next week; he got me all the way fucked up thinking I'm about to say sorry.

I stood there for minute trying to see if I should cuss him out right here in this very moment. But I just shook my head and picked up my water and headed up stairs slamming my door when I heard him yelling something to me.

I sat on my bed looking at my phone when I saw I got a text from MeMe telling me that she should be back in the city around 2 it was only 12. Maybe I can just go walking clear my head think of some song lyrics. I got changed and just put my hair in a mess bun.

I walked downstairs again passing August who was sitting on the couch eating. He looked me up and down before swallowing his food.

"Where you going?" He asked me taking a bite of his sandwich.

"Just walking until MeMe get back." I said scratching my hair.

"And who did you ask? Who gave you permission to just be up and leaving?" He asked leaning back on the couch.

"August you can't be serious, you acting like a fucking bitch-" He cut me off by getting off the couch at lighting speed and pushing me up against the door.
