August POV

It had been a minute since Kimberly left to stay with Chris and I know that I fucked up big time. I remember when I first saw Kimmy at the orphanage and saw her fighting and I just wanted to protect her. I made a vow to myself that I would, but in return, I did the complete opposite. But that's my daughter, not Chris, she's my responsibility, I fucked up and I need to be the one repairing it. I just don't know where to start.

"August, baby.." I got drawn outta my thoughts by the voice of Erica. Yea, getting her out of my life was going to be step one. I should have done it sooner but I was familiar with her and her head game was outta this world.

"What up?" I asked briefly.

"Let's go do something, or can we go out and buy that watch I was looking at." I was so blinded, ion know how I let it get this far or bad to the point where she thinks she can use me for her wants without bringing shit to the table. Gotta do betta.

"Aye ma, I think it's time for you to kick rocks." I kept it short.

"What the fuck you mean kick rocks?" She said getting closer to my face.

"I'm not trying to take it there with you mane... I'm being nice and one hundit. Respect it, keep it G, and move around." I was looking up at her with hooded eyes.

"August you got me fucked up! We've been rocking for how mutherfucking long? And you tell me to get out?!" We were damnear nose to nose and I was thinking about burning her chin with the end of this fucking blunt. I tried to keep it cool knowing that me putting my hands on her would just escalate the situation even more.

"Erica. Come on now ma, "rocking", nah we were fucking. A lot. You gave me head... A lot. And occasionally you stayed over. That's over, and I'm being nice with yo over the top ass. I'm not about to fight you about getting outta my house."

"This about yo bitch ass orphan!?" I dropped my blunt... I know the hoe cheating. I had stood up from my couch now, looking at this poor excuse of a woman. Still don't know why I bothered with her ass.

"Watch yo fucking mouth! I'm trying so hard not to put my fucking hands on you-" Erica cut me off

"Nigga you know better! I'll have the next nigga on you and yo lil ass daughter."I gritted my teeth not taking that threat lightly. Erica knew of my past but I don't think she realizes the full extent of it, and it was looking like I was gone have to buss a cap in her ass to show her.

As I felt my nose flaring, I looked down and saw her purse lying there. I grabbed it fast, too fast for her to process what was happening until she saw me walking to my front door with it. Gotta treat a bitch like a bitch. I opened the door tossing her purse as far as I could, making it land in the middle of the street.

"Fetch." I could tell she was pissed but I know that purse was worth more than her life and she was gon treasure that over this fuck ass situation we had going on.

She pushed past me, running for that weak ass MCM bag cussing at me as she did. I closed the door, locking both locks before walking back to the couch looking for the blunt I just dropped. I soon found it, sparked it again and took an inhale before rubbing my hand over my head and face. I gotta figure this shit out with Kimberly, and quickly.

Kimberly POV

It's just over 2 months of staying with Chris and I can say things are going well. Jalen and I are going steady and Chris even met him the proper way and they seem to hit it off, so now Jalen is over here frequently. School is going by slowly but still good. Summer break was in a couple of weeks which I was excited for but, I can't wait till my senior year. Senior year is when MeMe and Mr. Terry will be moving back here and we can finish out high school together. Even though MeMe is a few hours away from me I still see her often seeing as I got my LICENSE! And to follow that Chris bought me my own BMW. I would have gladly accepted a car from his collection but he was not going for any of that. I'm not complaining though.
