♤Taught vs Raised♤

Dazai and Nisha have been training the Akutagawa siblings for a while now.

Ryu has his ability practically all trained, and is now working on more combat related things with Dazai

Gin eventually cut Nisha's shoulder. And got to move on with the next step. Learning how to defend against her opponent

Dazai got colder.. however. He's gotten annoyed with Ryu, and Nisha hates it. It's reminding her of Mori, and it's worrying her..

Ryu came back with more injuries, and Dazai practically no injuries at all

Whenever Nisha thought Ryu might need a break from Dazai, she usually pulled him into her training room with Gin.

He had two options. One, he could relax and watch Gin and Nisha train, or he could join in with the training.

One thing Nisha noticed though, is that Ryu just wanted approval from Dazai. And Dazai never gave him that

Dazai was taught like that by Mori.. and was abused enough by him to where he couldn't give Ryu approval

So Nisha did it for him

Whenever Ryu did something correct, she would give him approval, and made sure that he felt some sort of comfort, and made sure he felt at least a little happy with what he did

One day, it got bad

Nisha was training Gin while Dazai was training Ryu when someone burst through the door

Nisha and Gin jumped a little and looked to the door

???- "Nisha we need you in the next room over"

Nisha nodded and motioned for Gin to come with her

They both ran to the next room over and saw Mori and a few others around Ryu and Dazai

Dazai had a gun in his hand, while Ryu was on the floor in pain

Dazai- "You keep messing up. If you keep messing up, I have no use for you."

Nishas eyes widened

Nisha ran towards the two of them and hit the gun out of Dazais hand

Nisha- "Dazai you dumb bitch! What are you doing?!"

Dazai- "What are you doing? This has nothing to do with you"

Nisha- "You were just about to shoot a child. A child in training. A child who is on our side!"

Dazai- "He keeps messing up"

Nisha- "How bad does he have to mess up in order for you to kill him?"

Dazai- "He just.. keeps messing up.. he doesn't do anything correct."

Nisha- "What are you talking about? He will mess up at times because he is in training! And a child!"

Dazai- "I have no use for him"

Nisha- "You have every use for him! Your a strong individual Dazai, and he can learn from you. If you keep telling him he's useless though, he'll never get stronger!"

Dazai- "Practice and pain makes perfect, Aoki"

Nisha- "No, it doesn't. Practice makes perfect. Pain gives trauma"

Nisha was raging with more and more anger with each word, and Dazai didn't even notice. He didn't even look at Nisha, he just stared at Ryu.. and that scared him

Nisha sighed

Nisha- "It's expected you act this way anyways.. I don't know what I expected other than this outcome.."

Dazai finally looked at her

Dazai- "What does that mean?"

Nisha- "You were taught by Mori to act like this. You have been abused and manipulated enough by him to no longer be able to give Ryu approval"

Dazai- "I was not taught like that. If anything I was RAISED like that"

Nisha- "No Dazai, you weren't raised, you were taught and manipulated. I was raised by Mori"

Dazai- "You weren't raised or taught like I was by him. I got hit, punched, slapped, cut, and yelled at constantly when I was learning combat, and when I first got here. The first night I came here I witnessed a death I didn't want to."

Nisha- "You have no idea what taught vs raised is.. do you? You don't know the meaning, do you?"

Dazai- "In your meaning, I have no idea. You make no sense half of the time"

Nisha- "I hope you never find out my meaning, Dazai."

Nisha sighed and bent down to Ryu and helped him up

Nisha- "I'll heal you, ok?"

Ryu nodded and started to walk out of the doors

Everyone left the room, except for Dazai and Mori

Mori started to laugh

Dazai looked at him confused

Mori- "First big fight.. Nisha hates when kids get hurt"

Dazai- "It's a normal thing to get punished when you do something incorrectly"

Mori- "Yes, and that's how I taught you"

Dazais eyes widened

Dazai- "Then you know her meaning?"

Mori- "Yes Dazai, I know her meaning. Maybe you'll find out one day what she meant"

Mori walked out of the room laughing, and just left Dazai standing alone in the room to think things over with himself

Dazai- 'What does it mean?'
