Wth is a kook

       Finally, after hours of sleeping, driving, and singing along to ABBA, we finally made it to our new home. with the biggest smile on my dad's face, "Here we are home sweet home" "Oh hon its beautiful" my mum said while hugging my dad's side. then they kissed Yuck I thought to myself, I'm never going to get used to that. "God, stop the PDA" Scar snickered at what I said. " Oh, please Katrina sooner or later you'll do the PDA-ing." I turn towards Scar and pretend to throw up as they turn their backs to enter the new house. 

       the house was amazing I must say it looked as if it were out of a movie. the view was amazing it had the water right OutFront a garden that my mum would for sure work on to maintain her and keep her happy until she gets bored. The house itself was huge, bigger than our old house. i wonder what job my dad got that payed him so much to get such a house. either way I'm not complaining. 

    Without another thought I ran inside before Scarlet, so I got first pick of the rooms. in total there was about 12 rooms, for no reason there was just the four of us so there would be a bunch of empty spaces. as I looked through all the rooms trying to find the one, I came across one with French doors and it had a beautiful view of the ocean, I automatically fell in love with how the light came through the windows and lit up the room. the room also had a walk-in closet so that was a bonus, I know I said no room could ever compare to my old room but oh man this is the only exception.

    As i made my way to the truck to grab my boxes and carry them up to my new room a girl who seemed to be around my age came closer and closer. she seems nice i thought to myself and she was really pretty, "Hi, I'm Sarah Cameron, your next-door neighbor." "Oh, hi I'm Kat, nice to meet you." "Yeah, you too, do you want some help carrying boxes in?" "Um no its okay I got it I don't want to bother you." "Oh no please I insist, this wouldn't bother me." she said with a smile, I smiled back "okay, yeah sure if you insist." we start heading inside the house after she grabs a box "Jeez what do you have in here." she says with a laugh "um I think some dumbbells" "your joking, you can't be serious." " of course, I'm joking. those are my clothes, so they seem heavy." "ohhhhhh that makes sense." 

    finally, we enter my room " oh wow, this is so prettyyy." Sarah says while stepping onto my balcony "I KNOW right I'm in love." I set the box onto my bed, the moving guys have already set my bed up, so I didn't have to. "Speaking of love, you with anyone?" " oh my gosh we just met like 10 mins ago and you're already asking me this." we both laugh " well I have to know if I need to hook you up with someone, and plus it's fun to hear about other people's love life." as if she teleported, she was laying on my bed with her hands under her chin waiting to hear what i had to say. "Well, if you have to know" I say as I disappear into the closet "no I am not involved with anybody." she looked as if she was flabbergasted "WHAT, how could you not be in a relationship." I laughed at that, still putting away the box of clothes in my new closet "I don't know that's just how it is" " I don't believe you; you have to be lying." "i swear on my life I'm not lying, scouts honor." "Mmm okay, we'll just have to find you a boyfriend." "Oh my gosh, I don't know if i should be scared or not." "Oh, be afraid, be very afraid." "I am now."

   As laughter filled my room my dad came in to see who I was talking to. "Hey Kat, who's the new friend?" he said as extending his arm to shake her hand. " Oh dad, this is Sarah she lives right next door. "Sarah, Sarah Cameron nice to meet you sir." "Oh, your Wards daughter." what a weird name, Ward, never heard that before. "Yup that's right, you know him?" she asks " oh yeah I just started working with him about 2 weeks ago." "Oh, so you're the new guy he's been talking about, he's really excited to be working with you." As my dad was getting ready to say something he got a phone call "I've got to take this, but it was a pleasure meeting you." "Pleasure meeting you too Mr. Johnson." At that my dad answered his phone and started walking to I'm assuming his office. 

    After a while of talking and getting to know more about each other we finished grabbing all the boxes and bringing them up. Now it was about 5 p.m. and we were sitting in my room, she was sitting in one of the chairs on my balcony and I was sitting on the other laughing the whole time we were in each other's presence. just as we finished talking about her Boyfriend Sarah's phone went off "Speaking of the devil, he just messaged me, oooo there's a kegger in the boneyard!" "What is the boneyard?" "it's like the beach, PLEASE come with I'm begging you it would be so funnn." "Um yeah okay, I guess I'll go, but what would I wear?" "

    OH MY GOSH, PLEASE LET ME DRESS YOU!" she practically yells while jumping up and down "Oh my gosh okayyy calm down, have at it." after about 10 mins of looking she found one of my dresses. "Oh god no, I hate wearing dresses." " well, you're a kook now so you better get used to it girly." she said while giggling. " Pause, what the hell is a kook." as I was getting ready for the kegger she was telling me all about the whole kook vs. Pouge rival thing this island has. "I think personally it's really stupid, but my boyfriend topper makes it his whole personality, which gets soo annoying." "Yeah, it sounds really stupid and a waste of time." "See you get it." 

    "Okay I have to go back to my place to get ready wanna come with and we can go to the bone yard, we'll give you a ride" "Umm yeah sure, let me tell my dad first and I'll walk over right after." "Okay see you there" after that Sarah starts walking over to her house." "Hey mum do you know where dad is?" "Yeah, sweetie I think he's in his office" she looks up from washing dishes "where are you going all dressed up??" "Oh, Sarah invited me to an event, and I thought it would be rude to decline." "Okay just make sure you talk to your dad about it." "Thats exactly what I'm trying to do but I can't find anything anywhere." I say as I walk away from the kitchen 

    OH my god finally after what felt like forever, which was just 2 mins, I finally found the office. i knock first waiting to hear a response, nothing, I knock again "who is it?" my dad asks, "It's just me dad, I had a question." "Okay go ahead and come in." as I walk in, I see his office for the first time, and it looked very much officy I know that's not a good description of it but what are you going to do. "What's up Kat?" I sit in the chair right in front of his desk. "I was just wondering if I can go hang out with Sarah for a little bit." "Um, I don't see why not you could meet new people, did you unpack everything?" "Almost, I just have one more box left and then I'm finished." "Okay as long as that's done by tomorrow. yes, you may go but I need you home no later than 11:30 and if you're not home by that time you're not allowed to go anywhere for the rest of the summer, capiche" "okay thank you dad see you in a little bit." 

    And with that I was heading out the door on my way over to Sarah's house.

AN: Um yeah so this is chapter 2 i hope you liked it if not then that's a you problem

This is what I imagine the dress to look like if you don't like it imagine something else or find something on Pinterest. Idk I picture something simple like how Sarah wears the floral dress. I would have done like a long maxi dress but that seems a bit much for a Kegger yk.
