walking up to Sarah's house was intimidating to say the least the house was like twice the size of mine, what could they possibly do with all the extra space. The yard was nicely cut and the flowers were beautiful it was all so silent and still. The house was a massive white colored house with huge windows. as I approached the front door I didn't know if I should knock or ring the doorbell, but since its such a huge house I decided to ring the doorbell. not long after you could hear running and the door quickly opened to see a girl who looked to be around 13 or 14.

"OMG HIIIII, you must be the new neighbor Sarah told me all about you." "Yes, Yeah I am, I'm Kat nice to meet you" "I'm wheezie, come in don't be shy we don't bite or anything." Wheezie leads me to the kitchen skipping the whole way there her mom and I'm assuming her brother? or Sarah's bf are around the kitchen island making lemonade and food. "Mom it's the new neighbor Kat" it was kinda awkward standing there I had no idea what to do with my hands.

"hi Kat, I'm Rose we were just heading over to your house to greet you guys, would you like some lemonade or maybe something to eat?" "Oh um no thank you, I'm just waiting for Sarah." at the mention of Sarah's name the boy lifted his head from what he was doing. "OH, how rude of me Kat this is my step son Rafe, you guys should be around the same age maybe you guys could hang out, well me and wheezie have bring this over to your house to meet your parents it was nice to meet you though Kat." as they were walking out of the kitchen wheezie came up to me and gave me a quick hug. weird.

after that it was really awkward so I walked out of the kitchen and into what I assume to be the living room, after like 2 mins of sitting in silence I felt the couch dip on the other side, I looked over to see Rafe sitting down eating a sandwich. "Hey" he said to break the silence "hey" I said back "sorry about Rose she's a bit much" "Oh please she's nothing compared to my mum" "Why'd you say it like that?" he said lightly laughing "What do you mean?" I said smiling admiring his features. "you said mum instead of mom." "um it's just a habit I guess" "I like it, its cute" "Thanks" I said a little taken back at what he had said, safe to say I was shocked.

"so there's this party tonight wanna go?" "I would but I'm already going to this thing with Sarah at the boneyard, I think that's what it's called." "Why are you guys going there? it filled with pouges." "It sounds fun and its the beach so even better, cause you can go swimming." "that's not the best idea Kat, there's sharks out there that can eat you." "Oh please I'll be okay I'm probably not even gonna go past knee deep." "alright whatever you say babe." "BABE??? what do you mean babe?!?" Kat and Rafe busted out laughing.

we had been laughing we didn't hear Sarah coming in "What's going on here?" "omg Sarah hi." "I was introducing myself to our new neighbor." Rafe said while sitting back in his seat on the couch. damn he looks hot. "Yeah you may have gotten with every girl on this island but you cannot have Kat, off limits do you hear me." "Loud and clear." Rafe raised his hand to show his fingers crossed while wearing a stupid smile on his face. Sarah started to get mad so I pulled her out the front door with me and we made our way to the boneyard.

When we got there the beach was filled with drunken people laughing, music was playing as background noise and you could faintly hear the sound of the waves hitting the sand. Everyone was sorta in their own little groups and there were a couple guys handing out cups of beer out of a keg. "So Is this what you were expecting???" Sarah said turning to me while wearing the biggest smile I have ever seen." "No not at all, its much better." at that we made our way over to get drinks.

There handing out the red solo cups filled with beer was a dirty blond guy with the prettiest smile I had ever seen like damn he was majestic. "How are you this fine evening mon Cherie." you could tell that he was a little drunk or maybe it was just his personality " Very good monsieur." I said as he bowed and I curtsied while laughing. "Pick your pleasure, beautiful?" "I'll have anything" "Good thing cause we only have this, all the tourons drank everything else." "What's a touron?" "not a what a who, baby." he snaked his arm around my shoulder and pointed to a group of people. "those are tourons." "well why are they called that?" "because they're tourists, your a tourist right?" he still had his arm around my shoulder while looking at me. " No actually I just moved here with my family." "Oohhhh so I'll be seeing you all the time huh." "Only if you want to."

Sarah drags me away and explains to me that her bf is on his way so we go and wait for him only to see him already there watching us. I was already nervous but now that he saw a pouges arm around my shoulder I didn't know what was gonna happen. Sarah ran over to him and he opened his arms and twirled her around then sat her back on the ground. "hey babe" "heyyyyy" she replied happy to see him. "Oh topper this is my new neighbor I was telling you about, Kat meet Topper, Top meet Kat. "nice to meet you Topper." "Yeah you too, who's the guy you were talking too?" topper asked "um I'm not sure I never got his name." Topper just hummed in response.

Sarah made her way over to the red steel buoy, Topper following her worried she was gonna get hurt started trying to talk her down but she was too focused on the scene in front of her. Soon after she got down we went back into the crowd and sat on a log Sarah an I were talking about nonsense while Topper was talking to his friend Kelce. "lets go" Topper said making all of us get up and start walking, we were stopped by a drunk dirty blond haired boy.

"Wait hey, hey, Sarah" he was cute that's for sure. "Sarah can I interest you in a tasty Milwaukee beverage?" "No, thanks" she said as politely as she could. "c'mon is it not fancy enough for you?" that took me by surprise he was just asking for a fight right there. "No we were just leaving" she tries to explain to him but gets cut off by Topper "hey you know what I'll take it, thank you, man, I appreciate it." topper says "That's nice but I didn't ask you, now, if you said pretty please. . maybe." "ohhh, pretty please" topper said in the most sarcastic voice ever. "yeah, Kat you can have It." "No they don't want it . ." topper says while nocking th cup out of the blonds hand, that lit something in him and he grabbed toppers shirt and pushed him back.

the blonds friend pushed him back to stop anything from happening but Topper said "dirty pouges" and that set everything off. next thing you know Topper and john B were fighting(she figured out his name from people calling out they're names. "hey. john B, don't make me drown you like your old man, alright?" what did he mean by that did topper drown his dad or did his dad just drown? everyone was chanting fight and so much was happening at once. Topper began drowning John B so Sarah and I began yelling for him to stop. The blond walks up to Topper and places something on this head HOLY FUCK its a gun.

He clicks the safety off "yeah you know what that is, your move broski" with that Topper puts his hands up scared at what could happen to him. everyone starts running, not wanting to get any closer we all yell for him to stop "did you say something princess?" he says. "were good, were good topper repeats trying to get out of the situation. Sarah grabs topper and they start to walk but john B falls over so my first instinct is to help him. I lift his head out of the water and hold his head up. "AALRIGHT EVERYBODY LISTEN UP EVERYBODY GET THE HELL OF OUR SIDE OF THE ISLAND" JJ yells while firing 2 shots in the air, 2 of his friends I think kept pushing him and yelling about how what he had done was stupid and it was idiotic which it was, he tried to defend himself by saying he was saving his life but they just kept going.

Sooner or later they remembered that their friend was hurt an they all came to help me get him out of the water.
