"My lady!" Jorah exclaimed, as he rushed over to (Y/n), dropping to his knees and taking her blooded fists into his hands. His heart dropping into the pit of his stomach, as she pulled away and quickly rose to her feet. The dragon ignoring the broken mirror that cut at the bare skin of the soles of her feet, as she made her way back to her bed and began to pull back on her leather armour.
"I presume that my sister needs me...........?" (Y/n) enquired coolly. Not daring to look at the man that was still knelt on the floor. The oldest surviving Targaryen brushing away the tears from her soaked cheeks.
"Why........why would you think that? Why would you think that I was only here because of the Khaleesi?" Jorah queried. A mixture of shock, confusion and hurt evident in his tone, as he himself got to his feet.
"Well, I can think of no other reason why you would be here.........." (Y/n) retorted. The dragon turning to look at the former lord. Acting as if nothing had happened. As if the bear had not just found her surrounded by broken shards and shattered glass. Hadn't just found her in tears with blood covering her hands. That he hadn't just heard a scream that had shaken him to his core.
"You can think of no other reason............?"
"No, Ser Jorah, I cannot. As I said, there is no other reason for you to be here, other than to inform me that Dany has need of me.............." The dragon countered. Ignoring the blood and the pain in her feet, as she pulled back on her boots, before reaching for her sword. Wiping the blood from her hands on the sheet that she had used to cover the mirror before going to reach for her gloves.
Jorah stood there for a moment. The warrior not sure whether it was him that she thought so little of, or herself. Part of him knew that he couldn't blame her for thinking that the only reason that he would have come into her room, was something to do with her sister. That he had been coming to find her, because the woman that she believed he cared for most was in trouble, or for some reason required her older sister. Yet all that didn't mean that her insinuation didn't sting. That it didn't hurt that she didn't think that he could care about her. That he didn't care that he had just found her crying and covered in blood.
Suddenly, his eyes flew up, hearing (Y/n) hiss uncomfortably, as she did her best to pull on her gloves. Jorah marching over to her and grabbing hold of her shoulders before turning her around.
"Let me see............." The bear ordered, as he pulled off her gloves and threw them onto the bed. Jorah carefully examining the wounds.
"I am fine, Ser Jorah. I assure you that it is nothing.............."
"Nothing? Nothing! I heard a scream that I am sure the whole Essos was privy to, and then find you in tears in the middle of broken glass, covered in blood. And you say that it was nothing.............?" Jorah fired back. The former lord gripping her hands as tightly as he could, as she tried to pull away from him once more.
"Why are you acting like you care about what happens to me. About what I do? I mean nothing to you. I mean nothing to anyone. Even my own brother only cared about what I could give him. The only reason that you busted through my door, is because I protect the only woman that you do care for..........Now, if you will excuse me." (Y/n) retorted disdainfully. As she firmly yanked her hands away from his and turned to pick up her gloves.
"That isn't true, (Y/n). You mean everything to your sister. You............you mean everything to me.........." Jorah stated. His heart fit to explode, as she turned around and stared at him. The disbelief obvious in her eyes.
"I mean something to you because I am willing to give my life to protect my sister. She is the only one left that can carry on our line. And I am sure that you would very much like to be the man that could help her do that." (Y/n) told him. The dragon turning her eyes to the floor, as the tears once again began to fall. The closeness of the former Lord of Bear Island. The feel of his breath on her skin, making her thoughts go to thing that she believed were impossible. Making her wish that she could still be the lady that she had been born to be. That she was her sister.
Suddenly, (Y/n) found Jorah's lips on hers. His arms wrapping themselves around her, as he pulled her close. A smile pulling at the corners of his mouth, as the warrior felt her hands slip up into his hair. The kiss becoming more passionate by the moment, as Jorah allowed all his feelings to spill out. All the words that he hadn't dare to speak. The dragon losing herself in the arms of the man that she had come to love with all her heart. Jorah resting his forehead on (Y/n)'s when they finally separated.
"Why did you.............?" (Y/n) tried to ask. Jorah softly placing his finger to her lips before she could say anymore.
"I did that because I love you. It is true that I care for your sister. That I love her. But I am not in love with her. I am in love with you. I need you, (Y/n). I have waited for far too long to tell you. I have wasted too much time, and I do not wish to waste any more. I cannot be without you. I cannot lose you. I will give you everything I have. Everything I am, as long as you say that you will be mine. If you will agree to be my bride.........." Jorah told her. (Y/n) pulling back so that she could look at him. The dragon unable to see any insincerity in his eyes. Unable to see anything but need, hope, love and the truth. Her heart pounding violently as she thought on his words. As she thought about being his wife. The dragon knowing that she could say only one thing. The disgraced knight smiling broadly, as word 'yes' left his lady's mouth. Jorah taking her up into his arms and carrying her from the chaos. The former lord promising that with every day, and in every way, he would show the bodyguard that she was the only dragon that he wanted.
