NIMI'S POV

I blinked after what seemed like hours of me staring into space.

I didn't feel good at all.

My head hurt so bad and it seemed like my body was being held down by a thousand bags of cement.

I didn't eat anything through out yesterday because anything I ate came right back out after some hours.

The ringtone of my phone snapped me out of my rivery.

I sighed

I used the little strength I had left to sit up on my bed and pick it from the bedside table

By now, it had stopped ringing.

I already knew who it was because I hardly received calls except from my mum, sister or Asher.

I unlocked it and tapped the phone icon and just then it started ringing again.

It was Asher.

I tapped on the answer button.

"Hi Asher" I said

"Aaliyah...are you okay?, you don't sound yourself"

"Um..yeah I don't feel really good, I'm skipping school"

"Oh,what's wrong did he..."

"No no he's on a business trip, I think it's a fever, you don't have to worry"

"You know I'll always worry Aaliyah"

I sighed

"I'm coming over" he said

He cut the call before I could protest

I stood up from the bed and went to rinse my face in the bathroom.

The sound of the bell came.

Well that was fast...

I picked my hoodie from my desk chair and went out of the room.

The bell rang again.

I rushed down the stairs and opened the door.

"You di..."

"Hey" Asher said enveloping me with a hug

"You are burning up" he said worry evident in his tone.

"It's minor Asher, you didn't have to come all the way here"

"Nothing is minor with you Aaliyah" he said "..and i didn't come 'all the way' here, i came from next door"

I sighed

"Have you eaten"

"No, Asher you don't..."

"You this girl" he said shaking his head and walking towards the kitchen.

"Aren't you going to be late and you know you're a prefect" I said trying to convince him and following him into the kitchen

"I don't care Aaliyah....do you want noodles or pancakes?" he asked opening the pot drawer

I sighed "Noodles"

He brought out a pot and two packs of noodles.

"What are you doing standing there? go up and lie down Aaliyah"

I simply obeyed without arguing.

I got to my room and grabbed my MacBook from the desk.

I caught up on 'Umbrella Academy', the series i was currently watching.
