It was "Adoption Luck Day" at the orphanage—the day every kid waited for all year. People from all over the country came to meet us. We prepared special performances to impress them, hoping they would choose us and believe we could be good sons or daughters.

Many of my friends had already been adopted on this day in past years. But not me. At sixteen, I knew most people preferred small children. Even though I still looked like a twelve-year-old, no one had ever picked me. Still, I never gave up hope. I believed that love and faith could bring anything into my life. And that belief led me to him—the perfect man.

That day, all the children were busy with their shows, hearts racing with excitement. Soon, visitors started arriving. Most of them were single parents or couples facing some struggles. I stood in the crowd, feeling nervous. I was almost sure no one would choose me again. I tried to stay positive and thanked God for whatever I had.

While I was looking around, I noticed the staff running everywhere in a panic. When I asked what was happening, they told me a rich man had lost his expensive bracelet somewhere in the orphanage. Everyone was searching for it.

An idea popped into my head. I ran to my room, took out my own bracelet from the cupboard, and rushed to the office. I opened the door and saw him standing there with the church father.

"I got the bracelet!" I said happily.

He turned around, and that's when I saw him clearly. He was tall, handsome, and looked like he had walked out of a dream.

Nervously, I held out my bracelet. "Y-you... You can keep this if the real one isn't found," I said shyly, trying to be helpful.
