{Chapter Nine}

{Florence's pov}

After waking up and getting Dressed into a loose white dress with lace trim I follow bro through the city of volterra.

People stare as we walk by, rumours of rich family living inside the clock tower have been brewing throughout the town for years and seeing Aro in his expensive suit solidified the rumour.

"We are here My love" Aro announced as we stop in-front of a fairly big building. He smiles and gently pushes me forward.

Inside it was a large room filled with jewelry. A brunette women walks over to us and hands Aro a small black box.

He hands it to me and inside laid a beautiful volturi crest necklace, it was almost identical to the kings but it had small amethysts instead of rubys like Aros or black diamonds and sapphires worn by Caius and Marcus.

Smiling at aro I pick up the necklace, gently admiring the metalwork.

"Do you like it"

"It's beautiful, thank you so much" I reply while jumping up to hug the man. He hugs back before leading me out of the shop.

We wander around for a couple more hours before we head back to the castle.

Once we're there Aro has to go straight to a Trial so I go down to the kitchens to make a snack before going back to Aros room.

Florence reads for a while before Marcus walks in. He greets the girl by kissing her hand and sits beside her.

"What are you reading darling?" The sad king asks.

"Little women. I found an original copy in Aros study" the girl replies before going back to reading.

Marcus smiles and pulls out a small book from robes. The two sit in a comfortable silence, both lost in the pages of their books.

A/N: I'm so sorry I haven't posted in a while. Schools started and I got into a small accident recently which has left me with a back injury so I've been putting off writing more chapters. but I hope to get another chapter finished by next week❤️
