{chapter ten}

{Florence's pov}

Walking down the halls with caius was nice. the silence wasn't tense but instead peaceful, just two people enjoying each other's presence.

We entered the gardens and sat on the side of an intricate stone fountain.

The suns rays warmed my skin and birds sing a song in the trees. This is heaven.

Caius looks radiant, his skin shines In the sun like a million diamonds and his perfectly tussled blonde hair compliments the white tunic that hugs his frame.

Today I chose to wear green silk dress with a bodice covered in floral stitching.

Jane even braided a small crown In My hair and placed some pearl pins in.

Caius gazed at me with a soft look and gently kisses me. I kiss back and warp my arms around his neck, pulling him closer.

His hands find my hips and he squeezes them slightly. I gasp and he slips his tongue in my mouth and takes control of the kiss.

We part a moment later and I smile happily at him. He smile back and grabs my hand.

The two of us sit I silence again, just gazing at each other. Each of us in our own world.

"Mia dea" cauis croons affectionately.

I look around and then up at him realizing I'm in his lap. He must have seen my confused look and explains.

"You fell asleep"

"Oh how long have I been asleep?" I ask.

"Only about 30 minutes"

Oh that's not too bad. We both stand and start to walk back to the castle.

Looking over, a beautiful tiger lily catches my eye. I stop and carefully pick the flower, placing in my dress pocket.

I find a few mor pretty flowers before heading back to my brand new personal chambers.

Cauis closes the door and sits by the fireplace while I make myself comfortable at my desk.

Grabbing one of the fresh flowers, I lay it out nicely on a sheet of newspaper before placing it on a book.

I close the book and gently lay a few more books on top of it. I repeat the process for all the flowers and place them in a small container.

Walking over to the windowsill I place the new container on the ledge and grab the old one, switching them out.

I sit at my desk again and smile at the pressed flowers, grabbing and inspecting them all silently.

Caius looks at his mate, confused at how such a small thing could make her so happy.

I'm so sorry for not updating so much. I've been really busy with school and some personal stuff but I'm gonna try to post more frequently ❤️
