"Hey dad," I say without even having to turn around.

"Let's talk Irome, you, me, and you too Sohma." He says making Sohmas eyes widen just a little. Was Sohma scared?  No he couldn't be, my father couldn't scare Sohma.

"Dad what's going on?" I ask finally turning to face him.

My dad ignores and and turns to walk out, "Quickly, we don't have much time."

"I'm not going anywhere until I know what's happening." I say standing my ground.

Stopped suddenly, my dad whips his around at me glaring, "Irome, we are not doing this right now. Listen to me and let's go."

"I told you, I'm not moving. I'm tired of all these secrets dad." I say before realizing I've probably said too much.

Uncharacteristically my dad softens his face almost as if he's won something, before softly saying, "Well then, it looks like you've answered your own question."

Oh, so basically, I'm fucked.

Silently I bow my head down and begin walking after him. Not long after I start walking I feel Sohma wrap his hand around mine. He rubs small circles on the back the of my hand knowing it helps calm me down.

I wish it helped more than it did. My heart was racing and I have no idea why. What was he going to do? Maybe he would tell us the answers I was searching for. Or maybe he would yell at us for digging into my moms past.  I honestly don't know what to expect.

My father led Sohma and I far away from the arena. From coming here as a child I recognized about half way there where we were going. And it didn't make me excited.

Rather then lead us to an empty room of even my grandfathers office, we were led to the control room that the teachers use to watch other students secretly. My grandpa uses it a lot to see students progress, he gets to watch them without them knowing, so they don't get nervous knowing their principal is watching.

He finally opens the door to the control room and let's Sohma and I go in before closing the door. Immediately when I look in I see way to many familiar faces. My uncles Keigo, Neito, Hitoshi, and Shoto, my aunt Momo, and grandparents. But the people that really surprised me were my friends Higo and Haro. Why were they here?

"Uncle Hitoshi? Shouldn't you be with the class?" I ask him first trying to avoid my friends who seemed more scared than confused. They were probably terrified with all the hero's in the room.

"I have another teacher covering for me, I told them it was something important. And if this takes too long we have another 3rd year student ready to step in for Sohma." He explains leaning against the control panel next to his husband Neito.

"Can we stay focused please? I don't have all day." My grandpa Enji says looking down at his watch.

"Why? You're retired remember?" My uncle Keigo says giggling a bit, knowing grandpas Enjis retirement is still a sore topic. If it were up to him, he'd be fighting until he couldn't walk.

"Be quiet Hawks. Let's get this over with." Grandpa Enji replies, surprising me with the lack of reaction.

Having said that my grandfather steps forward to me and Sohma and then gestures to two chairs next to my friends and brother, "Please, sit down."

I want to fight but Sohma easily agrees to the command so I follow behind, figuring he knows best. He is basically a pro hero after all.

Once we're sat my grandfather walks in front of all the chairs and the rest of the adults crowd around him. Not only were they standing in an intimidating line, but they were blocking our exit. Why would they want to trap us?
