Imagine meeting Victor Van Dort before you go practice for your wedding
(Y/n) (L/n) was from a shallow and wealthy family. Her parents had decided to marry her off to another family in hopes of more money and power. The girl herself was not fond of the idea of an arranged marriage. She feared if she ended up with a bad man that wouldn't care about love or even her. Her parents did not care at all.
The woman sat in front of her mirror as one of their servants brushed her hair. She was supposed to look her best as her future husband, Victor Van Dort, was coming to visit with his parents to plan the wedding. She was nervous to meet him. She hoped that he would be a kind and gentle soul. A heavy sigh escaped her lips as she closed her eyes.
"Do not worry lady (Y/n). Your husband will be a true gentleman, I just know it..!" The young servant, who also was a dear friend of (Y/n)'s, said with a comforting smile.
(Y/n) opened her eyes and looked at her friend through the mirror. Her sky blue eyes glanced back at her.
"I do not know Miranda... I'm still nervous to meet him. What if we don't get along? And there is just so much that can go wrong," The woman replied, her heart heavy with worry.
The younger girl nodded understandingly. Then she finished styling her friend's hair. (Y/n) stood up and she got ready to get her corset put on.
"My dear lady (Y/n), I've told you this many times before but you worry too much," Miranda said with a soft chuckle.
The servant started lacing up (Y/n)'s corset. She pulled on the strings tightly. The older woman gasped suddenly once the corset was properly on. She lightly shook her head as a small smile formed on her lips.
"Yes you've certainly told me that several times.." She said with a light chuckle.
After some time and encouragement, (Y/n) was ready. She looked at herself through the mirror again. Miranda excused herself and excited from the room. But before that she made sure to compliment her friend a thousand times. (Y/n) sighed again as she sat down on a chair. She couldn't help but feel more nervous as the time went by.
She jumped as she suddenly heard the piano downstairs playing. Nobody had touched that thing in months. She got up quickly and made her way out of her room. As she walked down the hall, the music got louder and more beautiful. Soon she arrived at the stairs and as she looked down, she noticed a tall and skinny man with black short hair sat at the piano as he played. (Y/n)'s heart jumped when she realized that he was probably Victor, her soon to be husband. The woman walked down the stairs slowly and listened to the music quietly. When she arrived at the other end of the stairs the man stopped playing.
"That was beautiful," (Y/n) said with a small smile on her lips.
The tall man jumped in surprise and he quickly turned around. He was shaking a little as he stepped away from the instrument.
"I- I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to.." He stuttered.
"It's okay. Are you Victor?" The woman said softly.
The man brushed off his gray suit and fixed his black tie. Then he quickly fixed his black hair before cracking a small smile.
"Y-yes I am..!" He replied quickly.
(Y/n) smiled softly. First impression of the man was that he was quite nervous to meet her as well. He seemed sweet and the woman thought that he was quite attractive too. She nodded as she took a step closer to him.
"It's nice to meet you Victor. I'm (Y/n)," She then replied.
The man's eyes widened a little when he heard her name. His pale cheeks seemed to gain a faint tint of blush.
"O-oh my.. I-it's very nice to meet you as well..!" Victor stuttered out a response.
The woman chuckled lightheartedly. She had a feeling they'd get along well, so she was feeling less nervous. A small smile spread onto the tall man's lips.
"You're a very talented musician, Victor," (Y/n) complimented him.
Victor blushed more. He was quite adorable when flustered.
"Why thank you..! T-that's very kind of you to say," He replied with a nervous smile.
Before they could talk more, (Y/n)'s mother came into the room. The older woman yelled at them for wasting precious time. She told the young pair to hurry up and come practice for the wedding in a pointed manner. Then she left the room, expecting them to follow her.
(Y/n) sighed. Victor turned to look at her, a quizzical look on his face. She lightly shook her head. She gazed up into his eyes.
"I'm sorry about my mother. She has always been quite unpleasant..." She said with an embarrassed smile.
"I-it's alright. I'm sure we'll survive," Victor said with a sheepish smile.
"I do hope so.. But we should go before she gets more mad," The girl replied nervously.
Victor nodded. Then the two started walking down the hall, towards the room everybody else was in waiting for them. As they were walking, their hands accidentally touched. The man jumped in surprise at the sudden touch, (Y/n) wasn't any better as she jumped a little too. Despite of that, both of them had a feeling this wouldn't end up as badly as they thought.
