Crying. That's all I could do as I kneeled in front of my now dead parents. Not just my parents, every Dark Elf that lived here. All but me. I kept sobbing and sobbing. Where I will live now? The Dark Village right now is to risky. I cannot live here anymore. I still cannot believe that the Mangalian Soldiers did this to the Dark Elves. They killed everyone that lived near here or in the village and destroyed and set fire on everybody's homes. I remembered what had happened earlier.
I was getting some water for my parents when they told me they needed some water for the baby elves and morphlings. I happily ran to the hidden lake where we get all our water from. As I was pouring the water onto the bucket, I hear a scream. The scream became louder and more screams joined in. I widened my eyes and ran at full speed towards the village, forgetting the water right where I left it. I ran and ran, until I saw the buildings destroyed and all the dead elves limp on the floor, crimson blood pooling beside them.
I finally decided to stand up, wiping my tears with my shaky fist. I looked at my parents one last time before running as fast as I could, heading to the forest that ran all over Mangalia. Nothing mattered this moment. Everything is gone. The best thing to do right now is escape this place and find a new home. The problem is, Dark Elves were never friends of anyone. Not even an alliance with the Natura Elves, which are exremely friendly like how I have been told.
As I reached the trees, I heard a little whimper from something close by. My eyes began searching the grounds, hoping to find something. I grinned when I found something. I grabbed it, and hold it close to my chest. It was a little wolf morphling. Morphlings are the familiars of the Dark Elves. They can turn into any animal, but they are always black and purple, so it is kind of easy to spot one. Only Dark Elves have familiars, and I'm thankful for that. I have never had a morphling before, but with good care, I can have the best friend I will ever have. I kneeled down and put the little baby morphling onto the ground.
I smiled, "I'm going to call you..."
I instantly thought of a name for the morphling I have always wanted to have, "Bardo!"
The little puppy barked, happy of finally having someone to care for. Yes. Morphlings are extremely protective when they have a Master. I let out a silent yell, happy because I finally have an animal I have always wanted. My smile turned even bigger, this little morphling has made me forget all that has happened to me hours ago. I will always take care of it. Until my last breath.
"Come on, Bardo! Let's go to the woods," I waved at Bardo, pointing at the woods.
Bardo barked once again, ready to take off into the dangerous forest. The forest is called the Woodland Forest, but Dark Elves usually just say 'the forest'. There's not anything really special about this forest, only that it is connected to all the kingdoms here in Mangalia. The ones in charge of this forest are the Natura Elves, but we tend not to damage it a lot. There is no use anyways, it will only provoke an arguement that nobody needs to hear.
I smirked, those Mangalian Soliers will pay, even the evil dictator, Ronko. For all the damage they have done, all the evilness they have spread. Absolutely everything they have done. Everything will turn against them and hopefully dethrone him one day. He was the cause for the destruction that the Mangalian Soldiers have created. Yes... One day I will make something to make everyone turn against them. For Mom. For Dad. For everyone in this world.
When I finally enetred the woods, it had a bad vibe and it seemed a little dangerous. My parents have told me that werewolves and vampires roamed here in the forest. I have to admit, for an eight year old girl, I was a little scared. What if werewolves eat and kill me? What if the vampires drain all my blood in a sip? Thinking like this isn't helping, so I brushed it off and made myself think I can be brave.
