Chapter 16

I knocked on Levi's door, earning a "come in please."
"My my! Look who it is, my favorite unofficially captain yet!" Dot Pixis greeted. "Oh you flatter me too much sir, long time no see?" I sat on the available chair next to Levi.
"Yet you still look as fabulous ma lady" I scrunched my nose in embarrassment while waiting for someone to take on the conversation. Erwin cleared his throat and we finally went on with the meeting.

Thirty minutes passed, and the tension between me and Levi kept growing. I was furious, but his voice, his hands, his calmness, his fucking sent, drove me nuts.

"So Rose, any recommendations?" Levi asked me in a knowing tone. He KNEW I was distracted thinking about him, BUT no I should be mad and show him that, if he doesn't get on his knees while apologizing, I'm not gonna be satisfied.
Luckily for me though, I was still able to concentrate a little bit on what they were saying, I'm just not feeling super creative to make points of my own,
"No recommendations, I think Hange and Erwin made such valid ones, but when it comes to yours Levi.. uhh not really sure how I feel about them."
He raised an eyebrow and clinched his jaw, "Yeah? What's your problem with my recommendations?"

"With all due respect, do you live under a rock or something? you're so far behind, can't even explain my point of view when I'm not even sure you have the basic amount of knowledge that'll help you figure out where I'm coming from."
And oh, he did not like that.

"As much as this title irritates me, but do you think humanity's strongest fucking soldier, doesn't know what he's talking about? Now you must be living under that rock you're talking about." He said while loosening the tie he has around his neck, and holy shit sir do it again.
"That's exactly what I'm saying Captain, you can't be humanity's strongest soldier and say such stuff" I flashed him a smile and looked and Pixis worried face.

"Woah woah I'm really enjoying this oof!" Hange tucked hairs behind her ear.

"May I be excused? I think there's nothing That I need to be present for, right?" I asked Pixis, but before I heard his answer Levi was disapproving. "You should be present during the whole thing, it isn't about what impresses or interests you."

"Oh remind me, did I ask permission from you? No I think it was quite obvious that Dot Pixis is the targeted one." I kept my eyes on Pixis.
"Yeah? Well tell me then sweetheart, are you shadowing me or Pixis?"
Pixis immediately looked over at Levi and nodded, "Levi, I approve of her request for leaving. You can go, tough lady."

Levi's POV:
I slammed my fist on the table and got up following Rose feeling furious.
I gripped her hand yanked her to the supplies dark room.
She looked at me surprised and shocked.
"What the fuck is wrong with you? What's your problem?" I asked while staring at her face, her confidence was no longer there.
"What..Is wrong..With YOU? You call me a whore, have the audacity to tell me you didn't request for my presence to apologize, and YANK ME TO A FUCKING TINY SUPPLIES ROOM??" She yelled, I immediately started to actually realize how fucking odd I've been acting. Holy shit Im fucking up real bad.
"Look I'm sorry, I don't know what's gotten into me when I called you.. that, I also should've apologized properly
and definitely not here."

Her eyes softened but I could still tell she's hurt. I accidentally moved my gaze from her eyes to her lips, they were so kissable, I unnoticeably gulped at the sight, something felt like magnet pulling me in, so I automatically leant in closer to her face.
I caught her staring at my lips as well, noticed her teary eyes. "You okay?" I spoke softly.
"Mhm"
"Why are you tearing up then? What's wrong? Are you still upset with me?"
"Not really, just a little, but that's not exactly why I'm tearing up.." she responded while lowering her gaze from my lips to the ground.
"So, do you wanna maybe tell me about it? Obviously not here.. ahem."
I cleared my throat and loosened the tie around my neck more.
"Well I don't want to talk about it but yeah let's get out of here, please."

I immediately held her wrist and led her outside that disgustingly tiny room directly to my office.
I slammed the door shut behind us.
"So as I said, I definitely should apologize properly for my behavior, Rose, I'm so sorry for calling you that." I licked my lips and stared at her up and down without even realizing or controlling my actions.
End of Levi's POV

His eyes scanned my body, i tried to contain myself and respond to his apology.
"I forgive you Levi, although you really upset me."
"I know i did, so please I'll do anything for you to believe how sorry I actually am." He said that while stepping closer to me, I could even feel his breath hitching when our eyes met.
"Well then, lets make some tea together, shall we?"
"Is that all it takes to show you how terribly sorry I am about calling you a wh.." I immediately put my hand over his mouth to shush him for calling me that again. His eyes widen as he smirked against my hand, i could feel it on my palm.
"I might think of something else later, but that'll do for now. What? Where you expecting something else? Tell me about it?"
I said that as I made my mouth close to his ear. I looked up at him and flashed him a smile as i pulled away.

"I see.." he replied while biting the inside of his cheek, he snatched the tie around his neck away and threw it towards his disk. " This fucker has been making it hard to breathe all day." As if it wasn't my effect on him.
I smiled to myself .
