The nightmares had continued since that night to the point where Lucy was slowly losing her sense of reality. Natsu had stayed with her every night to calm her down and make sure she was okay which caused a certain Strauss to be very upset and try to increase the strength of the nightmares on the girl. They had gotten so bad to the point where they had gone to a doctor to see if there was anything wrong with her. There was nothing wrong with her physically but it seems that her aura had darkened tremendously and her magic was draining from her lack of sleep. She had definitely been put under a spell of some sort but the magic was dark, and extremely evil, it couldn't have been from anywhere around here or they would have felt it by now. The doctor had an idea to put Lucy into a magic surgery to take some of her magic and use it to find the source of the dark magic. Natsu immediately disagreed and refused while Lucy immediately agreed.

"It's dangerous Luce, you could get hurt."

"I'm already losing my sanity, Natsu. At least this way we'll have a shot at fixing all of this and making sure it doesn't happen to someone else." Natsu shook his head stubbornly before the doctor cut in and added something that changed his mind.

He looked at the doctor in shock before turning to Lucy who gave him a reassuring smile that if under different circumstances he would have swooned over but the heavy weight of reality stopped all of that from happening. He nodded hesitantly and the doctor nodded in return before handing Lucy a clipboard of paperwork she had to fill out before the procedure.

It took a while to finish it but Lucy did and got dressed in her hospital dress. Before she went into the procedure room, she gave Natsu a hug. "I'll be okay, don't worry. We'll figure this out." She released him from the hug before kissing his cheek and quickly walking away before seeing his reaction.

As she walked away, she didn't see the slight blush that formed on Natsu's cheeks as he held the spot her lips touched gently. A smile graced his face and he walked to the waiting room where he waited for his best friend to wake up.

Lisanna was infuriated, she watched the scene in anger as Lucy hugged and kissed the man she was in love with. It didn't matter if he returned the feelings towards the white-haired girl or not, she wouldn't let him escape her grasp again.

Her eyes turned pure black as her rage fueled the demonic power taking over her.

"No, no! Please!" Lisanna screamed in her mind as she felt herself falling deeper under the control of the demon. Her outer self laughed evilly as her eyes turned back to their light blue color.

"He'll be mine forever." She smirked.

"Big sis! Do you want to go on a mission with me?" Lisanna asked her older sister as she was drying a glass.

"Oh I'm sorry Lis, I wish I could, Master Makarov asked me to join him to meet with the magic council and showcase my abilities since I am an S-class mage. How about you ask Elfman? He's right over there with Levy and Cana." Mirajane pointed to the table they were all sitting at, Elfman and Cana were staring intensely at each other while Levy had a tick mark on her forehead while looking at her book.

Lis looked at her sister with a sad understanding smile and before heading over to them, said, "Okay, I will. Thanks, Mira!"

As she got closer to the group of three, the buff man and the thin girl holding a barrel of alcohol continued to stare at each other in silence and intense concentration. Luckily Levy noticed the short white-haired girl and smiled at her while closing her book. "Hi, Lisanna! How are you?"

The said girl smiled nervously at her before glancing at her brother and friend for a split second. "I'm doing well, how are you?" She asked back, smiling politely.

"I am doing very well! I just got this new book and it is fascinating!"

Lisanna chuckled at her antics and glanced at the two once more before giving in to her curiosity and asking the blue-haired girl. "What are they doing?" And pointed to the two beside them.

The tick mark reappeared on Levy's head as she glared at them. "Well, Elfman ran up to Cana and demanded she have a drinking contest with him. That was 2 hours ago. After that, they started arguing a lot and now they're just having a staring contest," She leaned forward and curved her hand around her mouth to whisper to Lisanna. "I'm pretty sure Elfman just fell asleep with his eyes open." She giggled.

Lisanna giggled alongside her and sat down next to her brother before hearing soft snores coming from the man, proving that he had indeed fallen asleep. She poked his temple and he slowly fell to the side before crashing to the floor, still unconscious despite the loud noise and impact.

The short white-haired girl sighed and stood up again before bidding her goodbyes to Levy and heading to the door to head to the mission on her own. She didn't need her siblings to go with her anymore, she could do it on her own.

She was determined to prove she was capable of doing things alone.

"Oh my god, I never should have gone by myself!" She screamed as she was running away from the monster. The same creature that had been terrorizing the village she had received the "HELP WANTED" request from. The monster was a tall, onyx-colored woman who had long, dark blue hair that flowed around her no matter if there was wind or not. She had a long black tail that swished back and forth and razor-sharp fur strands that had already shredded the skin of Lisanna's left arm.

She yelped in agony as the tail of the demon lady wrapped around her leg and dragged her on her stomach to her feet. The rocks and weeds scraped and tore up her stomach and she was flipped over onto her back as the woman knelt in from of her and tilted her head while looking at her mutilated form with a smirk.

Lisanna tried to back away in fear but the woman pinned both of her hands to the ground next to her head and knelt her knee onto her stomach. The shapeshifter screamed in agony and sobbed for her to stop but it only made the demon push harder as her smirk grew.

A long-nailed hand lightly grazed the side of Lisanna's eyes where the tears built up and wiped them away, contrastingly different and much more gentle from the way the demon lady had treated the rest of her body.

"What a beautiful specimen. Wouldn't want that pretty face to go to waste, now would we?" The demon lady said with an almost genuine smile that almost calmed Lisanna's nerves.

     Almost.

The hand that wasn't wiping her face pushed its way through her chest and gripped her heart, squeezing painfully tight as if putting her claim over it.

The demon smiled sweetly as Lisanna gasped for air over and over again and the life was draining from her eyes. "I own you now, sweetheart."

She woke up with a start and gasped for the absence of air in her lungs. Once she had regained her breath, she looked around and saw herself sitting on the grassy field that surrounded the area of the village. She frantically checked her body for any wounds but found absolutely none.

With a sore body and a confused mind, she head back to the guild and took the week off to regain her thoughts.

But the demon had already taken over.
