Ivy Henderson remembers the night that Will Byers went missing. She had babysat her little brother and his friends at the Wheelers house, while also helping them with their campaign. She had offered a ride home to Will, but he declined. With his last words to her being, "The Demogorgan, it got me."
Her life drastically changed after that, with each year seeming to get worse and worse. The mindflayer taking over Will's body, the russians and Billy Hargrove going crazy, and now, the murder of Chrissy Cunningham. She didn't expect for her old friend Eddie Munson to be the one to get framed for it.
And now, she has to figure out what's causing these murders, and to try to get Eddie unframed. All while trying to ignore old feelings that seem to want to come back. And trying not to get taken by Vecna.
