I am going to start with my first moments in the world. To do that we will travel to my orphanage Shishu Kshema Bhavan, In Kanjirappally, Kerala, India. ( long name I know I don't expect you to know how to pronounce it.). My birth mother walked in pregnant and left without a child. On July 15, 1998, I came into the world. That same day I was relinquished for adoption, and put on anti-seizure medications. I don't remember when my mother left the orphanage, in fact I don't remember anything about that day. Did I cry when she left me?? If I was in her place I would have cried.. whether she cried or not I don't know.. only God does. My first months in the world were hard. On July 15th, 1998 at 5:15 pm I came  into the world, and lost my mother on the same day.I had a seizure shortly after birth.. some doctors say that it's common for some newborns. Due to my medical conditions, severe eczema, and my seizure, I was unable to be adopted until a year after my birth, actually a year and a month.During that time I was taken care of by numerous caretakers, named Iyaas. The orphanage was loud, filled with content, crying lonely kids without families. The older kids often helped out by taking care of the younger ones. Due to the number of kids... the orphanage became too crowded. Several other children, including myself were transferred to another branch of the orphanage. Although it was of the same branch, I feel like it became my second home, due to the transfer. A year and a month later I was adopted by a family in the states.
