42. The 72-hour Ordeal

A/N- Welcome to the next 72 hours of the boys becoming Mia's caretakers. There will be 4, 6-hour shifts per day and I will list them as we progress. I hope this doesn't get confusing, but I know it's going to be fun!

Author POV- Before the first shift JK's House

"OK guys, it's getting late, and we all need to rest," Joon says, looking at the clock on the wall. "Are you going to be okay staying up all night, Joon?" Jin inquired with some concern, "You didn't get much sleep last night." Joon nodded before standing up to leave, dropping his phone in the process. Mia goes to get it, but Jimin beats her to it. 

"I got it, mama, you should go to bed with Hyung," he says as he grabs the phone and hands it to Joon. "Is my good boy attempting to gain brownie points?" she teases, making him blush. 

"Ass kissing son of a" Tae's rant is interrupted by Hobi with a hand grip on his beefy thigh, making Tae quiver. "Tae, you should stay with me tonight. It seems we have more to discuss."

"Well then," Jin stands up, grabbing his phone, "before it gets any weirder, let's head home," Jin jokes, helping Mia off the couch. The trio said their goodbyes before following Joon out of the door. Hobi looks at Tae and gives him a wink before turning to bid good night to Jungkook. ff too," he s smiles before heading to the front door. Tae follows slowly behind Hobi, murmuring goodnight to the youngster, knowing he has a long night ahead of him.

After the door closes, Yoongi waits a brief period of time before turning to Kookie grining. "So, are you going to tell me what happened?" he asks, causing Kookie's eyes to widen before lowering his head. 

"Can we talk about it later, Hyung?" he requested, not wanting Jimin to know. Yoongi beams. 

"Sure, but don't make me wait too long," Yoongi smirks at him before getting up to leave. After Yoongi leaves, Jimin hesitates before settling down next to Kookie because he was worried about his friend. 

"What's the matter, you seem terrified as shit," Jungkook looks over at his friend and notices his friend's concern for him, but he is simply too ashamed to tell him. He knows Jimin wants to hear all the facts, not because he's a nosy person, but because he believes it helps him comfort or console his friends better. He's already imagining the conversation, "Seriously, Hobi-hyung did it to you? How did it feel? Was Hobi a nice daddy? Do you think you'll like him better than Yoongi-Hyung? How long did he make you wait?" More importantly, Jungkook didn't want him to question why he was punished. 

"Nothing major. "He only wanted to know whether the doctor had any further discharge information," he lied. Jimin isn't buying it. He glances at him suspiciously for a moment, studying his face, hoping to get the truth from him, but Kookie remains unmoved.

He stands up, acknowledging defeat, "Okay, I'll leave you to get some rest; see you at breakfast." He smiles before patting the man on the leg, which causes him to jump. He considers asking why he is responding in this manner, but decides against it and exits the apartment. Kookie exhales a sigh of relief as he relaxes his stiff shoulders now that everyone has left. He switches off the TV, loads the dishwasher, and does some light cleaning before going to bed. He had no idea that Yoongi had returned after Jimin had left, preparing to shock him. Kookie, unaware of Hyung's presence, switches out all the lights in his house and goes to his bedroom. When he turns on the lights, he is caught off guard by the man lying on his bed.

"Hyung, I thought you left," he says, his face bewildered yet sacred as the man gets up and walks towards him. Yoongi takes a step in front of the man, so near that he can smell the whiskey and chocolate combination on his breath. Yoongi takes his time responding to Kookie's inquiry while moving Kookie backward and shutting the door at the same time. Kookie begins to say, "Hyung I," but Yoongi grabs his throat and whispers in his ear.
