Tim's POV

Knock

                                                                                               Knock

                                                                                                                                                                                     Knock

"Jess, dinner is on the table," I yell through the door at my furious girlfriend, only to be met with silence. I sigh to myself and try again, determined to talk to her "Babe, come out and have some food. Guess what, I made Kalbi, your favorite," I sing song to her. "Not hungry," she shouts back, making me groan in annoyance. "Babe, it's been nearly three days, please come eat," I begged, only to be met with nothing.

Since our argument about why she wasn't allowed to see Mia in the hospital, she has been locked in my guest bedroom. I tried to reason with her and tell her it wasn't safe for her to go and that I'd rather she wait until Mia was released, but she wouldn't hear of it. "I know there's something you're not telling me, and I won't say shit to you until you tell me the truth," she shouted before slamming the door.

That was the last thing she said to me, and she also has been avoiding me ever since. She keeps the door locked when I'm at home and only leaves the room after she knows I've left for work. I already feel so guilty over the entire situation, but how do you tell your significant other that you contributed to her best friend's recent hospital stay? Despite the fact that I wasn't there when the incident took place and had nothing to do with the person who drugged Mia, I still share some of the blame. What's worse is that I'm still unsure of all that unfolded that night and what happened to the plan.

Flashback to the night of the attack, Sam's place

I hurried to Sam's house when I got the message to meet up, leaving Jess bewildered. I pounded on his front door, not caring how loud I was till the door was opened, revealing a shaken-up Sunny.

"Sunny, what the fuck happened?" I yell, pushing past her as I enter the home to see Sam on the sofa clutching a drink.

"I don't know," she screams back as she takes a seat on the couch next to Sam. "I was standing next to the side door, as instructed when she suddenly began to fight back," she stated, shifting on the couch.

"What happened to using you as a lure?" I shouted, and she opened her mouth to respond, but quickly closed it and turned away. I could see she was upset over something else, but I just wanted to deal with that one issue at a time.

"I suppose he changed his mind and ordered me to wait by the side entrance like a nice little girl, ugh, he pissed me off so much," she sneered. I sighed in frustration as I paced back and forth over Sam's hardwood floor and massaged my temples. "Anyways, after she bit him, he called me to come help, then instructed me to pull the rag out of his back pocket to mask her screaming. After I had it over her mouth for a minute, she stopped moving and her eyes rolled into the back of her head. I wanted to ask him what the fuck did I just do, but that crazed muscle baby saw us and we had to take off running," she said, picking up her straight shot of whiskey from the coffee table. "How was I expected to know he was going to drug her?" she says, turning to Sam with a curious face, "did you order him to do it?" she asks before taking a sip.
