chapter 1

Growing up in an abusive house hold is not nice, heck its so fucking hard. I've had my dad beat me, my older brother do the same and my mum well it's complicated we used to be very close until i started Hogwarts then she became verbally abusive  

She would say like "sit up straight you look like a homeless person like that" or "ok that's enough eating for the next few days you look like you're pregnant" 

No one knows about what goes on in my house except professor Flitwick. He's always there for me whether its i need a cry or just to distract my mind

As professor Flitwick likes to say "distract the mind so you don't do something you will regret in the future" 

So I decided in my second year to get into gardening which is where I met Neville and Ginny. Both of them are one of my best friends i don't know what i would do without them

Oh i forgot to mention my whole family are slytherins so what made my mum turn on me now is cause i got sorted into Ravenclaw

Anyway back to Ginny and Neville

For years now they asked if they could come to my house on the holidays i kept making up excuses so Ginny tried to get me to come to hers but i kept saying i can't my parents wont let me 

This year is my 6th year my mum taught me how to cover up a bruise with makeup so i've been doing it alot cause my brother has been letting out his anger out on me 

It's now nearly the christmas holidays i was walking to the great hall for lunch when i see Ginny running up to me with a big smile 

"Addie guess what" i laughed at her happiness "i spoke to your brother Bennett he said i could spend the christmas holidays with you"

My face turned pale my smile dropped and i quickly changed it "that's great but tonight i'll come see you and give you some warnings" and before she could respond i went to the great hall

I found my brother sitting with his friends "Bennett can i talk to you in private please" he nodded and i led him somewhere quiet where no one would see us 

"Bennett what's wrong with you, why would you let Ginny stay with us?" I raised my voice at him by accident.

He slapped on my cheek so hard that i nearly fell and i felt my teeth move a bit and now there was now a bruise on my cheek 

"Don't you EVER RAISE YOUR VOICE AT ME AGAIN DO YOU HEAR ME" i nodded and the me spoke again "besides i want that Weasley to come maybe it will teach her some respect" 

With that he walked away and i went to professor Flitwick classroom because i have him after lunch 

I knocked on the door and walked in "professor i don't think i can attend class today" he walked up to me climbed on the table gave me a hug then spoke

"It ok go to your room today and tomorrow dont attend classes i'll put you down as your not well"

I thanked him and walked to my room

In second year i when professor found out about my life at home he put me in my own room so there would be no gossip about me

As i was walking back to my room with my hand on my cheek i got stopped by parkinson 

"Hey you ok Black" she looked concerned i nodded and tried to walk away but she wouldn't let me "let me guess Bennett hit you again" i nodded and she gave me a hug "if you ever want to talk i'm here for you i understand what it's like to have an abusive family" 

I thanked her and walked to my room
