"Don't be too mad, Remus," Olivia said, casually strolling into the basement. She nodded once at Dumbledore and patiently waited for Mary to stop fawning over (Y/n) so they could get going."At what?" Remus asked. Olivia shrugged. "At what, Liv?" His question was shortly answered by (Y/n) and Mary skipping down the stairs. The under half of (Y/n)'s hair was dyed a shade of pink that matched her skin tone perfectly.
"Look at you," Marlene mused, surveying (Y/n).
"Cute," Dorcas smiled.
"I like the pink," Alice dragged out, grinning fondly. (Y/n) smiled sweetly and peered intently at Remus.
"It's... nice," Remus said at length.
"Very," Dumbledore beamed.
"I-is it allowed?" Lily stammered at length.
"I don't see why not," Dumbledore said. "Hogwarts is in need of a bit of fun, is it not?" (Y/n) and Mary exchanged a subtle high-five. "Well... I believe it is time for us to be off," Dumbledore said, rising from his seat and straightening his long black cloak. He doffed his hat and swept from the room.
"See you next time," (Y/n) smiled.
"Bye," Harry said hastily and the two followed Dumbledore back upstairs. Their trunks were arranged by one another and two owl cages were balanced on the largest two whilst Effie's soft carrier was still on the ground.
"We do not want to be encumbered by these just now," Dumbledore said, pulling out his wand again. "I shall send them to the Burrow to await us there. However, I would like you to bring your Invisibility Cloak... just in case."
Harry extracted his Cloak from his trunk with some difficulty, trying not to show Dumbledore and (Y/n) the mess within. When he had stuffed it into an inside pocket of his jacket, Dumbledore waved his hand and the trunks, cages, carrier, Hedwig, Hoshi, and Effie vanished. Dumbledore then waved his wand again, not only unlocking all of the locks but also opening the front door onto cool, misty darkness.
"And now, Harry, (Y/n), let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure."Despite the fact Harry had been desperately awaiting (Y/n)'s return, talking to her felt quite awkward with Dumbledore's presence. They skipped down the steps of Sirius's house and stepped away, watching the surrounding houses stretch back out.
"Keep your wands ready," Dumbledore said brightly.
"But I thought I'm not allowed to use magic outside of school, sir?"
"If there is an attack," said Dumbledore, "I give you permission to use any counterjinx or curse that might occur on you. However, I do not think you need worry about being attacked tonight.
"Why not, sir?"
"You are with me," said Dumbledore simply. "This will do." They came to an abrupt halt in an alleyway right across from Grimmauld Place. "You have not, of course, passed your Apparition Tests," Dumbledore said.
"No," said Harry. "I thought you had to be seventeen."
"You do," said Dumbledore. "So you will need to hold on to my arm very tightly. My left, if you don't mind— as you have noticed, my wand arm is a little fragile at the moment." Harry and (Y/n) gripped Dumbledore's proffered forearm. "Very good," said Dumbledore. "Well, here we go."
Dumbledore's tried twisting away from the pair, making them redouble their rip; The next moment, everything went black and they were being pressed very hard from all directions. It felt rather hard to breathe, as though iron bands were tightening around their chests. (Y/n) forced her eyes clothes as her eardrums pounded and then—
Two people gasped in great lungfuls of the cold night air. Harry opened his eyes, finding (Y/n)'s still closed. It was a few moments before Harry realized they were no longer in an abandoned valley, but rather a deserted village square, in the centre of which stood an old memorial and a few benches. His comprehension catching up with his senses, Harry realized that he had just Apparated for the first time in his life.
